So close. You had me all the way up to your political statement;
This is a QRP forum not Qanon or other cult of conspiracy theories. Uhhm, so it's OK for you but no one else? I do agree with you on the first part, we don't need any of that stuff here.
Not trying to pick a fight Allison, it just seemed a bit hypocritical to add the political statement. Your cult may be someone else's heartfelt beliefs. Either way, I say again, we don't need any of it here.

way to identify a WOKE individual?
they spout that what your posting about is QANON , or conspiracies. And then you have the medical specialtists who think they are the center of info. yes ,whether you like it or not, our hobby has been infiltrated by the WOKE. they nibble away at our rights. Its patriotic and part of our Character as a ham radio operator to identify these WOKE operators who will try to stifle free speech, and other rights.I believe its written into our rles and regulations as an An amateur radio operator. We who hold the last bastions of free speech need to dig in and say ENOUGH OF THE INTERNET POLICE. by the way allison, my sisters death is not propaganda and the vaxx killing her was not QANON either. Only those who are afraid of the truth are the first to spew words " its propaganda,or QAnon."This is how they try to shut you all up. I would not have responded except you wrote QANON or propaganda theories. I and others have stated the TRUTH., whether you like it or not. Please put in a few more explanation points to really make ur point. Enough? yes enough of the nit picking of others words from others. a forum is a forum.if an off topic comes up, let it run,INTERNET POLICE. Allen, did you know CB is allowed FM now? Pretty cool. Now if we can just get digital on there . Ive haven run a ssb cb for while, but i think im going to have to buy some. cb band is free,49 mhz band is free, free sections in the 13.5 mhz section, am band,fm band, and several sections on the vlf sections too.MAybe the kit companies can put out some kits to run on these bands. I know they can but specifically those bands for vlfers, and freebanders or part 15 rigs? 73 AR David ac9xh |

Delete or mute. Easy. Or go. That which is deleted cannot "harass" me, but if you feel "harassed" you might want to leave. Best of luck to you. Just say'in,

Hi Roy,
Yes, we should all respect the witch doctors and their rituals! As they respect us!
When I was brought up, way back in the last century, the 60's, my parents never put conditions on how I was to always treat other people with respect. It didn't matter how strongly I disagreed with them, I was taught, by example btw, to always respect other people's right to their opinion. There was never any requirement to change mine but to just be respectful. I don't remember a pass for the occasion where the other person did not show me the same respect. So, are you saying it's OK to trash anyone who might have an opinion different than mine? I've lived 60+ years on this planet using the tools my parents gave me and just now I'm finding out it was all a lie! Or did I misunderstand you?
Please let me know, I'm feeling so triggered and vulnerable right now.

I use the feature often but sometimes folks reply to a topic with a different question and then it all crumbles. Hi Paul I think you have to think outside the [pill]box here. Don't focus on the 10 gram Vit C tablets. Actually I've never seen such a thing, it would be enormous. Let's assume 10x 1gram or 20x 500mg. Think of all the empty tablet bottles that must generate! Think of the possibilities! Storage, comes to mind. One for 2N2222's, one for blah blah, etc. Or what about in the post apocalyptic scenario where you are one of very few people remaining alive (no doubt on account of having consumed several kilograms of vitamin C per year for decades), and you need to communicate with other survivors... you need to build a 2N2222 transmitter, think of all the emergency coil formers now at hand! The possibilities are endless, let you mind go free! On Tue, May 31, 2022 at 2:52 PM K2DB Paul Mackanos <paul.mackanos@...> wrote:

Absolutely.
Don't throw out all those pill tubes. Use the tops to provide a mounting for toroids like this: Throw in a couple of 2N2222s and you have a VFO |

think outside the [pill]box here.
Anyway, the tube which my diabetic blood test strips come in is the just the right size to use as a guy ring for my telescopic pole used on SOTA activations. Cut the ends off and then it slides over and stops at one of the joints and is the perfect height to
attach the guy ropes. The material is such a soft plastic you can cut it with a sharp knife, side-cutters or hacksaw it. I seem to spend far too much time saving up packaging that may be useful for some kind of radio project. Still better than it becoming
land fill.

I found a cutting board at Walmart for 88 cents that I have been using for a multitude of Ham gadgets. The latest was a guide for my 33’ fish pole used for the EF antenna. Since the top is too flexible to support the 22ga wire I used a 1-1/2” hole saw with a 1/4” center drill. Then I drilled 4 1/32” holes to run the wire through making setup quick and easy.

With the 1/4 center hole it stops about 3” from the first joint. Should have clean up the burrs before the photo ! John On May 31, 2022, at 10:17, Andy <mm0fmf@...> wrote:

Mee too!!! Who's got the cheapest cutting boards??? Ive done guy rings for the fiberglass camo poles, work great. Bandsaw rough size, center drill for an allthread arbor, turned them in the lathe, then chucked them and bored to size. By the hour it was a losing project but fun,, got to use the Logan lathe,, not a bad day ;-) On May 31, 2022 09:27, Michael N6MST <mikedoesmaps@...> wrote: I have an IDENTICAL cutting board doohickey for the top of my 33 foot poles as well. Hi, Andy
Test strip containers have become the 35 mm film cans of this century. My wife is a T1D, and even with her Dexcom G6 in operation she still uses 3 or 4 strips a day. The Dexcom is good but not perfect. Not near as bad as Medtronic sensors, but still not 100%.
