rx module kit

QRPLabs advertises a receiver module kit and a polyphase network kit, but I have no idea about what they are used for?  I did figure out that they are intended to be used together.

The default of the RX kit is I/Q output, the polyphase kit converts it to a USB or LSB rx

In addition to the RX and polyphase modules you will need the VFO kit as well (or some other signal generator to provide the RX frequency

The downside is you need a dual voltage PSU as the VFO requires 5v and the RX I think is either 9v or 12v (as it uses a split power system for the comparator)

I have one assembled, just not put it all together as haven’t sorted a suitable PSU system for it

To be honest a QDX is probably a cheaper option, although not as many bands on it
