Brian, you were smarter then me, building your 8k board. I was just smart enough to build the kits and get them running! Hahaha Roy WA0YMH On Fri, Jun 24, 2022, 8:51 AM BrianB <brianb@...> wrote:

I actually had a job at a small company for a few years that as part of the job required me to code in object oriented FORTH. Somewhat tricky to code in at first but it was very close to being as memory efficient as machine language directly... And easier and less bug prone. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for it. The Leo Brodie Learning FORTH book is one of the true classics, too. Very fun book. I was on a team that wrote software for the IHU on Oscar 9. It used a COSMAC 1802 as it was the only space-qualified processor available for the project. No OS - it ran IPS (a multitasking FORTH-like language devised by Karll Meinzer (DJ4ZC) of Marburg University.

The 6800 (and less so the related 6502... 6502 is considered to by the first RISC processor) and 68000 processors were very well thought out designs. Compared with early Intel, their instruction sets were very straightforward. But in particular the original x86 design was limited by Intels' silicon process at the time. This wasn't a limitation for Motorola at the time. But the odd paged memory offset register stuff in the early x86 was because of physical limitations. Ah, the good old days... I mostly had the Intel machines in the 8 bit days.. But from a computer architecture perspective, those processors were structurally better. You all know that the RCA 1802 all were radiation hardened, right? The 70s history of microcomputers is pretty fascinating. Brian, I've still got my 6800 in the attic. 12kb machine, 4kb with the kit and an 8kb third party board! Same keyboard too. 🤪🤪 Roy WA0YMH On Thu, Jun 23, 2022, 8:55 AM BrianB <brianb@...> wrote: Anyone remember the SWTP 6800? It had the SS50 bus. Thank goodness the Covid-19 thread is back on track talking about old computer hardware 😉
Now I can post an image of my Micro Professor MPF-1 Z80 signal board micro that I used in college in the 80’s!!

I can't say I remember the SWTP6800, but was introduced to it just recently on a retro computer YT channel that I subscribe to. A neat piece of computer tech!
If you're interested , Adrian's Digital Basement is the channel and he did 5 parts from repairing it to booting up a DOS on it. Part 1 is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsikuBXmJIo&t=0s An enjoyable series ( and YT channel! ) Wayde VA3NCA |

Someone sold one on eBay with some other stuff and it didn't even turn on. He hot $2500 for it.

Well that is pretty Rude Paul. Are you also one of the band cops that try to tell everyone else how to operate? Reg has a right to express his thoughts and you have the right to listen or disregard them. As it has been said multiple times, mute the topic, don't click on the message on the web, or scroll past these messages if in some sort of digest form if they bother you that bad. Evidence?
Try looking online. You will find a (I don't know if this is the right terminology ) Senate Committee Meeting (hearing ?) where a whole load of doctors are giving evidence. The 95% success rate at keeping socially deprived people out of hospital was achieved by a group of doctors working for free in California. ( A valley is named but I can't remember what it was... I thought Central Valley but is something different) You will find evidence presented by other doctors at that hearing has some interest. Reg G4NFR |

Reg, Nothing I write down here will change your mind. Nothing you write here will change mine. We both see the other as "the other", each living in our own strange little world. To continue this makes as much sense as discussing how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. To reiterate, you are not convincing anybody. Neither am I. Enough. Jim W4JED On 6/22/22 16:20, R. Come on Reg. I was a family doctor for 44 years Vaccines save lives. Very true and they have done for many years. As a doctor you will also know how vaccines are produced. The mRNA vaccine has nothing in common with traditional vaccines. It is a genetically modified spike protein that is coated in lipid nano particles. The lipid nano particles form an "oily" outer surface that allows the spike protein to slip into the cell. The lnp's are shed at that point and they have found to be congregating in female ovaries and breast tissue. The spike protein enters the cell and reproduces itself many times and then graduates to the surface of the cell. The spike protein, and there are billions of them introduced to the body by the "vaccine" are now projecting from the exterior of the cell. As a doctor you will know about the ACE2 cells and the blood vessels. Well unfortunately, it seems the spike protein is somewhat attracted to ACE 2 cells. So guess what is now happening throughout the blood vessels. When the red cells encounter something that is not as normal then they tend to clot.... see where this is going ? Remember, traditional vaccines are inherently safe, but we have been subjected to something totally untested and genetically modified and it penetrates the nucleus of the cell in order to multiply. It has the ability to potentially alter some of our DNA. I intended not to reply any more on this topic. Some will do their own research and others will continue to scoff. I have tried to give a heads up. I only responded because you are a doctor and are capable of appreciating what is involved. Please do your own research, there are many physicians and scientists around the world working on this. A large team of medical experts, scientists and.... lawyers are going through Pfizers own documentation. They are not happy with what they are finding. The documents were issued under a freedom of info. act which a judge had to impose because the FDA wanted to sit on them for 75 years. The documents are available online, as is the letter from the judge instructing them to release them and also imposing a time limit so they can't drag it out. I think the first issue was around 30,000 and there are many times that amount to come yet. Anyone who thinks they have been given a "vaccine" which has been tested is in for a surprise. A female whistle blower is taking a case to court in America. She was working for one of the labs that Pfizer uses to conduct clinical trials. She was so troubled by what she found there that she documented it and took photos as evidence. My last post, I have tried to sow some seeds of curiosity and I have given you a lengthy response as you are capable of realising some of the implications and also capable of doing some research if you are so inclined. I can say that I tried. Reg G4NFR |
