This has been discussed before. The CPU does not prioritize the clock display update so although the system time in the U3S may be correct, the display can be delayed. For lack of a better word the clock display is cosmetic.

I connected a LCD module to the QLG2 GPS receiver. Following the instructions Hans S. made for this purpose. It works fine but the time on the Ultimate 3S is one second ahead of the time in the display of the QLG2. Not big worry for I think the 1 PPS is still okay. But I wonder what is the cause? According the time-server (europe.pool.nlp.org) the time of the Ultimate 3 S is right one…. Anyone with an explanation? Thanks Hans Merz /Pa3AAW |
