QCX WARC party - a good day at the office

Martin DK3UW

Zdenek,
at the 19:00 session conditions were just not good for Europe. Only an opening towards Spain on 30 m.
I could not hear any of the QCXes.

On 60 m Luc copied me with 539 but  my receiver was too deaf. In my multiband QCX the QRP Lab Band Pass filters are too sharp to let pass a 60 m signal. I only have 80, 40, 30, 20 and 15 m.

See you for the QCX Party

Hello everyone,
in the session 13:00 at 30m he called me DK5FN with KX3 + 15W and when he learned that I have QCX he finished the session also with QCX. I also worked with two QCX stations G4CWS Chris and M3PMG Dave. I also had a connection with three stations without QCX IR0MMI, PA3CWG and I4CKC.
At 19:00 only one connection with QCX G4YTJ John and 5 QSOs without QCX 9H1ZX, G0DOZ, F6IWD, EA3PP, G4FAL.
My antenna is WINDOM for 1.8 - 50MHz with a 1: 4 current balun home made, inverted V, unbalanced center 12m high.
It is a great pity that there was very little participation.

I was only able to do the 1900z session yesterday with my 30m QCX classic. Two QSOs, Zdenek OK2BQN for a QCX to QCX contact, and Juan EA3CWT for a non-QCX contact. All good fun though.

Good morning all,

I took part in the 1300Z session with the best result I've had so far.

OK2BQN for a QCX-QCX contact, DK5FN (KX3 and 15w), IZ3SOI, HB9WG  and F2QJ (all QRO).  Then just after 1400Z, UR5UEY.

I was using my 20m QCX-mini set to 30m with an external LPF feeding my 43m doublet at 8m agl.  So I was quite happy with that and thank you to all.

But the day got better.

An hour later I worked VK6XI on 30m FT8 for my first ever VK.  And in the evening I succeeded in ordering a QDX.

So, a very good day at the office and I hope others had an enjoyable day as well.

Look forward to the next QCX party.
