Interesting links, Guido. Will bookmark them. But a quick search didn't yield electrolytics capacitors that are 8mm long. The models that I have seen are 11mm long. I'll recheck tonight and if no luck I will ping the Dutch OMs. Anyway, when the pack arrives (Friday or Monday) it has to go, un-opened, under the Christmas tree. So no stress, no hurry: I don't plan to die in the coming days :-) |

I'm not in Belgium, but maybe you could find a source like mine. It was a telephone answering machine...There are a few 10ufs and some 22ufs.

I bought mine from Mouser and they were still too thick so I found some10uf Tantalums and fit with room left over.
