Hi All
Not sure whether or not this is a significant milestone but I'm quite pleased with it. Yesterday I worked 7X4AN in Algeria with my QCX 40 running about 5 watts to a full wave end fed wire.  That makes three continents altogether so far with a barefoot QCX (NA, EU and now AF).  Brilliant little radio, here's a picture of it:

first QSO Dec 23, 2017.
last today.
made 1237 QSO, 82 countries, all continents.
antennas windom, dipol, GP.
great radio!

The key is a UMPP-Academy fixed to the radio with an optional KX mount.

absolutely right. 
I made an additional duplicate button for pressing the encoder, and removed the brake from the encoder.
