Yes I’m a glutton for punishment…was thinking about getting a 50w amp kit and using the filter and torroid values published to see it will work on 160…anybody else tried to do this?
Search this list 160m PA or look at store for info. The issue is the diode switching is lossy down there, it's even a compromise on 80m where I get about 20 watts on 13.8 volts. Maybe someone has converted it to relay TR switching? The ubitx works nicely on 160m with its relay switching and of course a LPF added.
