A better probe, with more accuracy, is a steel or stainless steel pin, as used in dressmaking. Solder a wire to the head. then cover with heatshrink laving a millimetre or so uninsulated at its point.

QCX+ Built and Working
Am I the first? Received the kit at about 1100 today, just powered it up and tweaked the pots for receive. not fitted the TX yet. build took about 6 hours. good fun... 73 Mike G8NXD
