QDX Owners & Users... Limit your ! CURRENT !
Hans, A little off topic here but what power out can you expect with 3x BS170 on 50MHz? I know QDX is not a 6M rig ( yet ). Would 1X BS170 be better than 3 (at 50Mhz) to lower gate capacitance? TNX! B

QDX Coil Turns?
Just starting my rev 2 QDX. In the past I think I remember some talk about some of the coils needing more or less turns than specified by Hans to be optimal. Did this ever get proven or should I just

An update on my experiences with the PLJ-8LED ebay freq counters. The first one was a blue LED. Only one available at the time on Amazon. As I mentioned earlier, it appears the VCTCXO is NOT a VC type

Anyone have some QRPLabs Band Pass Filters excess to their needs?
I'm looking for some QRPLabs BPF's. Prefer unbuilt 20M but just about any will do, providing no trace or pad damage. All can be rebuilt to desired band. Bob WA1EDJ

Wide filter on QCX?
Thanks Johan. I was thinking it was not as simple as just changing the menu frequencies and readjusting. I have 2 QCX's I've widened the filter on and while they do appear to have a flatter response,

Wide filter on QCX?
After reading a few threads on widening the CW filter on the QCX, I've come up with some R and C values to try for an SSB bandwidth. What I'm not sure of is what frequencies the alignment menu items:

Did it again
Applied 9.5V to my U3S. Killed the micro. That seems to be normal. This time the synth board got hit. Get error message. Since the synth has a LM317 to feed the 5351a, I'd think that would survive. Th

Si5351a I2C operation?
Graham, Well I found one problem with my test. I picked a synth board with no IC2 reg on it! I have quite a few of them in various configurations. No 3.3v to the 5351a. That would explain a lot. Does

That's basically the same sketch I used and it worked for the RTC's. What I'd like to know is will NOT having a xtal on the 5351A STOP I2C operation?
