Hi Art, I tried a similar fix on the module. No dice. I am genuinely thrilled with Hans and his kits! I can't wait to get my mitts on a 40m QCX Mini! I already have 3 QCX originals and I love them! VY

It's ALIVE! I want to thank Hans for making his cool kits but also for fabulous customer service! I assembled my QLG1 GPS unit and it didn't work. I narrowed it down to the SMD module - a dead short b

Hi Bob The serial data starts when the 1pps signal goes low. While the 1pps signal is active, there is no serial data. The important instant is the leading edge of the 1pps signal, which is clean. 73

Could that "grass" be when the actual NMEA data is being sent out of the QLG1? It seems to last about 0.5 to 0.6 seconds and might be present while the 1PPS signal is high, but we just can't see it. C

Victor, Have you checked the accuracy of the U3S? I think WSPR TX is still 2Hz out but I think that is for a different reason. I guess other modes on the U3S should be accurate. 73 Alan G4ZFQ

Geoff, OK, it's some time since I used that method. I find a SDR or Speclab display easier and gives sufficient accuracy. That's what we expected. Could be why we are now on even terms with the rest.

Are these the ones with digital compensation? There was a discussion some time ago about these, instead of a slow analogue variation they jump, often 1Hz steps. https://sites.google.com/site/g4zfqradi

I have a few ProgRocks I've been playing with GPS calibrations. The frequency varies quite a bit, probably due to room temp, and I have it sitting out in the open. I bought some FOX TCXOs, at DigiKey:

Alan, up to about 10Hz deviation should be easily seen on scope display any more than that and it would be difficult to count the audio beats. IoW covid doesn't look good, please take care. I heard to
