From your description, I suspect that IC5 is toast. The oscilloscope is the best check, as with the BS170s installed, the gate capacitance can distort the signal out of IC5. You should get close to sq

I have a similar issue and getting about 1.5v on the gates of the BS170s. I'll check with a scope as well, but I guess this points to IC5? I have one on order, but before attempting my first 14 pin SM

As I read the information on this device ( https://www.amazon.com/AV-Access-Extender-Operating-Synchronously/dp/B01EV33R8S/ref=sr_1_4 ), I don't think plugging a USB WiFi dongle into it alone would do

For a theoretical no loss transmission line, SWR does not vary along the line. For a lossy line, the SWR will increase somewhat (depending upon the loss) from source to load (transmitter to antenna).

Hello Alan It may be a mix-up of terminology and perhaps I am using incorrect terms or explaining poorly, my apologies if so. It's best understood by analogy to a conventional superheterodyne receiver

Hans, I came across your comment and wondered what it meant. I was under the impression IQ balance was responsible for reducing, if not eliminating image responses. The unwanted sideband is an image.

Got my QDX kit on July 25 and got to find the artwork error on my own before the new build instructions were posted. It seems to be working OK except there is a weirdness. IC-9 likes to live around 2.
