The problem that my balloon has, is I used power film solar cells. When mounting my 6 glass 0.5 volt cells I broke 2 of them. Trying to beat the weather I went with 4, 3 volt power film cells in paral

I think John, that at this time of year, just past the northern Summer solstice, the far north is far from dark. North of Iceland it never gets dark at this time of year. Regards G0BZB

Thanks for the tip Dave. I'll use that next time I have difficulty tinning enamel-coated wire. I tried this wire using both liquid and solid flux and I still couldn't get it to penetrate a 400C solder

I did try the "Insert the wire into hot solder" method of tinning, but the wire is just so fine I can't get it to go into the solder! It just bends at the surface of the solder. I also tried trapping

Well, I'm calling my 0.002 Inch diameter (44 guage)+ Dyneema fishing line antenna a failure and moving on to bigger wire. I got everything stretched out on the floor, got the wire cemented to the line
