T1 Installation problem
I've been building kits starting about 1960 and have quite a bit of experience with a soldering iron. With a bit of finesse you can use side cutters to scrape the enamel off, sometimes I'll hold pull

Close up
I use a Luxo Wave magnifying LED light, it's quite expensive but the optics are excellent. A cheap Chinese version lasted only a few months before the joints loosened up and the head wouldn't stay in

JT Modes?
The digital modes can be used when CW can't be copied (or even heard). CW is usable at -15 dB, JT65 can be decoded at -25 dB (and WSPR at -30 or -35 dB.) There's a uTube video out there of Dr. Taylor

I've built two U3S's and the part density makes it quite a challenge for this old-timer, I feel your pain with the small gauge leads on the resistors. For an enclosure, buy a 3D printer and print one

WSPR Antenna
My U3S is putting about 250 mw into a MyAntenna end fed dipole. I get lots of spots every 10 minutes on 30m. My drift is almost always zero, with an occasional one or two Hz thrown in.

First off, my apologies if this has been answered/discussed/in the manual. Some kind soul emailed me saying I was transmitting 100Hz outside of the WSPR frequency range on 30M, I always thought I didn

QLG1 - Clarification on what the green LED should do
I built two QLG1s, the first one has a blinking green LED when a fix is acquired, the second one will not blink the green LED with a fix. I know #2 QLG is working fine because it's hooked up to a U3S.
