Listening to the QDX on receive?
Peter, there is an easier route, at least on my win10 PC: Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar (bottom right), a menu pops up, click sound. Select playback or recording tab as needed. 73 Johan

Willie, did your QDX break down spontaneously when receiving, when switching on or off the power supply, or perhaps when switching from RX to TX? Which firmware version did you run? 73 SM6LKM, Johan W

QDX arrived but Q4 is damaged
Steve, 2N7002 may work well as Q4 but it has a higher turn-on Vgs threshold than BSS123. From Onsemi data sheets: BSS123: VGS(th) = max 2V at VDS = 2V for 1mA drain current 2N7002: VGS(th) = max 3V at

Did you press ENTER? QDX needs to see a <CR> / 0x0D character on the serial port to enter terminal mode. The menu will not pop up on the screen until you do that. 73 SM6LKM G8HAV wrote:

No, I haven't tweaked it but I measured it. I found the unwanted sideband response 24kHz below dial frequency on 40m and it was about -50..-55dB below the wanted signal. Quite good in my opinion, cons
