Re: Success with QRP Labs kits
I'll second that, my 3S and QDX are working perfectly, did 13 colonies with just the QDX this year.
I received and finished a QCX mini yesterday and my only complaint is that it went to together TOO

Charles,
You are correct in assuming those pads are for the extra switches, the switches need to be connected between these pads and ground (and maybe debounced with a .01uf capacitor). The only

Ryan,
That's good news. The focus is something not right with the front end. Maybe the T/R switching section tests will show something.
Thanks!

Just had a look at the diagram:
Bypass = RB5 = Pin 26 of PIC
Auto = RB4 = Pin 25 of PIC

Open a command window. Enter "format c". Load your preferred *nix distro.
Problem solved. ;)

Charles,
This has always been a problem. When USB audio is plugged in Windows assumes you want to use it so it makes it "easy".
People are saying it has finally been addressed in W11.

How to stop Win11 from switching audio devices when starting QDX?
Really love my QDX but what is driving me nuts is the way Windows keeps switching my default audio device from Speakers to the QDX. Even with settings configured for Speakers to be default audio

Yeah, quarter wave verticals really do poorly.
