Re: #50w 40M 50W amplifier problem solved

Out of curiosity I out my Daiwa meter inline between the QCX+ and the 50W amp with a dummy load attached to the output of the amp.
I measured 1.8:1.
Is this expected, or acceptable? Seems kind of

Another possible option for some modes is to add support for external tuners ( ie T1) to WSPR software.

Re: Internal battery and antenna tuner in QCX+?
Not going to weigh in on the inside outside debate, but why not use three 18650 cells and a small BMS for charging. I use this in my stand/pwr supply for my QCX mini.

It’d be simpler to bring the battery power out the back of the QCX+ through a strain relief just above the power plug. Make the power cable just long enough to plug in the power socket, perhaps

Re: Internal battery and antenna tuner in QCX+?
Doug: I would not use AA batteries. You should try 3 x 18650 lithium ion cells. It is what I use inside my HB-1B and outboard for my QCX+ Mini. Fully charged they provide 12.6VDC and you can get them

Doug ... that is nice but from experience .... put batteries inside and locked in a case with screws .... battery acid will happen at some point /-) I use a 8-AA battery pace with a 9VDC plug on top

Internal battery and antenna tuner in QCX+?
I am hoping to mount an internal battery (8 x 1.5 volt AA) and an EFHW tuner on a project board inside my QCX+. It looks like everything will fit. What is not obvious is how to break the connections

As far as I know (and stalked other threads) there is a batch of 1000+ kits being prepared by Hans (hope he'll get well soon) and should be available somewhere soon (1-2 weeks).

Re: 50W Amp Low output
I've tuned up the QCX Mini (and bridged the diode) and now getting 4.7W at only 12.1V - up from 2.2W so I'm happy with that.
The 50W amp however is only producing 14W so I'm going to have to work on
