Very nice. Reminded me of Christmas Eve 2020 when I built mine. Sadly, that particular radio is presently broken after a short circuit was created between the drain and gate of one of the PA fets....

On the little Settings gear you can slow down the video. Look on the bottom edge of the window, near the right hand side.

This is not fine Pcb repair
But this video has wiring and some impressive repair technique, when there are not a lot parts in your junk box.
It is mostly wordless workshop, but you can turn on English subtitles

Hello Martin,
I had ordered 2 chips with firmware. That was actually unnecessary because you can access the latest firmware and program the Atmel. The chips together cost $17.58 = €16.27. FedEX

Just a bit off my own Topic
Have a look at your QSL cards especially the older ones and try to find out about the reason for many special callsigns nowadays and then rethink if our hobby really is off

The third invoice arrived yesterday. It follows the same scheme as the two previous orders I placed at QRP-Labs. In that respect, there is no irregularity. :-)

Excellent, so the test technique is working - at least for the high level signal at IC10. The 10-15mV is the noise floor - not a problem of course - but the 20-35 is your crash! Can you see it on IC10

Large cap...thanks for that great idea, Jim. Yeah, a 10uF can be pretty brutal, but it will do the job! I've often wondered if a quick "slap upside the head" would shock a cap into good behavior; I've

Yes! I was wondering whether I should introduce that idea. It's really good, because you get the actual sound, and the high impedance input doesn't quench the signal.
I chose not to mention it only

Gary K3WK,
Thank you for the explanation. The fact that it is voltage and not power quantized and that power is voltage squared does explain some of the difference. I looked up reducing quantization

Dan,
I believe that the math is:
db=10log(po/pi) For 8 bits the maximum value is 256 so it would be 10*log(256) = 10 * 2.408 = 24.1 DB
For 40db = 10log(PO/PI)
or 4 = log(po/pi)
po/pi = 10^4 =

David,
Had a connection problem with groups.io so my answer may not have posted.
No, grounding the cap to another point made no change, so the connection to ground plane is good. Will try battery test
