Re: Recommended Mini QCX mini Speaker?
Would it be possible / feasible to use a piezo type speaker? They are ultra-flat and might even squeeze into a Mini.

A surplus cellphone speaker might be just the thing..
Some are quite tiny and yet sound decent.
A simple drilled hole may suffice to pass the audio through the case.
If audio level is low you might

Do you mean the QRPlabs metallic case for the QCX+ would have enough room for all the add-ons?

Julian et al,
Are there any changes for the 40m windings for the QCX+? Like Keith, I'd like to have things right from the start :-)

Hi, Julian.
Sorry for the delay in response. The unit is as is configured from the shop, set up for 17m. Nothing has been adjusted.
If I knew how to tag you in a post, I would, as I just posted

Having operated the QCX-mini 45 days or so (at the correct txco ref. freq., eliminating that variable - thanks, Hans) I have surely discovered what all the fuss is about with this little

Re: Fedex Tracking
well mine just shows "collecting" 02.03.2022. next step would be collected but they also mentin delivery today 03.03.2022 before 18:00 Thats pretty sure unrealistic. Thats TNT tracking.

Re: Recommended Mini QCX mini Speaker?
I have one of the Coloud portable speakers that Steve mentioned as well. Compact but with good power and frequency response.

Re: QCX mini 40M Rev 3 - 5v regulator hot
Yeah, that's top end, really, for the Mini, in my opinion.
The other advice given above is excellent: I encourage you to do those tests. See if you can feel anything else warming up (during Rx) while

Re: I know it's here somewhere: Toroid adjustments for QCX+20
Keith,
L3, two turns less than spec for 20m, so 14 turns instead of 16. You should quite readily notice a peak in power as you adjust the turns from fully spread out around the toroid to tightly

Re: Interesting QDX failure - L11 -
#qdx
I need to phrase my answers better...
One fact is that L11 smoked, and power was needed from somewhere to make that happen.
Another fact is that the unit was operating unmolested for a number of hours

After it goes to US customs it is reliable. Until then it’s pretty sketchy.

Hi George
I'm interested to hear what the problems are with FedEx tracking?
TNT and FedEx are the same company since 2016, but the corporate merger is still ongoing. Gradual progress.

I know it's here somewhere: Toroid adjustments for QCX+20
I can't seem to find what I'm looking for, so I'll ask. I'm about to begin my new QCX+20 and seem to recall that many builders find that removing several turns off a specific toroid/coil is eventually

Fedex Tracking
The new tracking numbers are going to Fedex, but the information provided is not reliable. Is this also the case in the States?

Re: Output power problem

Sure could be... I had inferred from "after a series of key down" that it took more time that would be typical of a soft power supply; maybe that was an incorrect assumption.
