Re: QDX Spectrum

I wondered about that too, but I suspect it’s with the other end unterminated. If you terminate it in 50 ohms, it should read 50 ohms in all settings, but that’s not a good test of whether or not

Re: LCR Meter for $18?
#alignment
Mike,
I bought an LC100A LCR meter a few years back. It was $10 sent direct from China, but I assume that price is higher now. There is no case, and it did require the replacement of a toroid core

Ed,
Thanks for this info.
But just about there, is where I loose track of res vs imp.

Hey. I built the antenna from this paper:

Instead of using a copper loop I'm using a 1,5mm wire of 10m length. It's formed like

Re: Barb-a-watt Wattmeter
I built and use a Barb-a-Watt and I prefer it to my old QRP0Meter. I also built Barb's V1.02 uSDX and that's a great implementation of that QRP SDR transceiver design approach.

Yes, that's exactly right.
It should take no more effort than you can

Great video Steve, can't wait to see the toroids wound. It will be my first time doing them when my V3 ships.

Re: Barb-a-watt Wattmeter
Bought my Barb-a-Watt meter a couple of months ago to accompany my QCX-mini: an excellent pair!
Didn't come with a case, so had one 3D printed. Can’t say enough good things about the meter.

In your manual look the parts list. Check the capacitor section for the band specific caps and compare the ones in your kit with the list. There was a small bag the band specific caps were packed in
