Hi Bojan,
have you set a transmit delay time? This stops the ‘tune’ feature from working. Try setting the delay to 0.

Re: Securing toroids
Larry,
Dow Corning 737 Natural Cure Sealant Clear is great for securing toroids to a PCB.
It is natural cure sealant which means it doesn’t give off acetic acid when it cures, and it won’t

Re: QCX+ RF problem, need help
Jeff, a scope on FFT mode will show lots of harmonics if the input settings aren’t right. Try adjusting the vertical gain for a peak to peak voltage swing of two vertical divisions max and see if it

I use a drop or two of clear nail polish. I keep clear, red, and a few other colors on-hand in the shop to secure things like that as well as putting a tiny drop on multiturn pots, etc. when I fix

Re: QCX+ RF problem, need help
Hi Ron,
I also tested with my FT818 at 1W into a dummy load..... it is clearly cleaner than my QCX, without any doubt..... My QCX+ seems indeed to have something weird... the tone is lousy and even on

Re: QCX+ RF problem, need help
Jeff, you are too close to your IC-7300. That's what's causing the distortion. I get the same results with my QCXs. Try listening for your signal on a WebSDR or have a friend listen and maybe record

QCX+ RF problem, need help
Hi,
I have strange problem.
RX alignment steps have been done within expected results... BPF around 8 + half scale... IQ and phase at minimal around 7.
TX output measured with my scope and a dummy

Re: Which band?
Speaking POTA: On SOTA, it's very easy to self-spot by sending an APRS message addressed to SOTA. Is there a similar way to post a POTA spot?
Thanks,

Re: Which band?
The 30m is not a bad band for CW and is somehow open most of the day. Call QRP on 10.106 MHz or SKCC on 10.120 MHz and you may get a response quite quickly. (Join SKCC if you can use a straight key,

Re: Which band?
Great question. I have a 40M, because I like the CW opportunities there regardless of time of day.

I bought a 30 m QCX version quite recently, and I'm concerned that I may have made a mistake. In several days of listening, I haven't heard any CW signals, only some of those exotic extremely-slow

Good, hopefully the LCD will work once you resolve this.
All Julian's comments are very valid for general troubleshooting. If you have further issues, I'd print out his last post for a reference for
