Capacitor specs for QCX Transceivers
What ceramic capacitors should I order for use in QCX transceivers? I have some 25 and 50 volt NPO from digikey, but they are not ok voltage wise for the LPF for example at 5 watts I think.
Thanks in

Re: QLG2, LOVE It!
Not a problem Hans. My QLG2 will be used to set the PC clock.
The added display was a bonus and I just won't put it next to the QRP-Labs clock - hi!

Eureka! Thank you. I moved the cap from the place I had it to where you showed me, and I get a normal sidetone now with the earbuds.
Thanks again!

Sean, try adding a capacitor across the headphone connector on the bottom of the board. A 100nF should suffice. Install it from the audio out lead to ground on the bottom of the audio jack. I use 1206

Well that might do it, Alan. Pretty sure the earbuds I'm trying have a lower impedance. They're common phone ones, but at least the first one is probably closer to 17 based on current models from the

Sean,
Not sure if this has been mentioned but are there some comments about speaker impedance in the manual?

Re: Tinny sidetone (was Re: Using an external electronic keyer with QCX-mini)
First set of earbuds had a mic, so it was TRRS. Second set was just a regular stereo TRS connector. Sennheisers are TRS. Can't tell if it's shielded or not.
Tried my son's pair of cheap over the ear

The fact that the Sennheiser headset works satisfactorily is encouraging. I'd look into how it is wired (shielded cable?). I assume the jack is of the 3 terminal type in all cases?

I have used Tayda several times and found them to be both reliable and relatively inexpensive. I believe they have a US distribution warehouse in the US, so they usually deliver commonly-ordered

Tried two sets of earbuds. Even wrapped them in a toroid so much that there wasn't more than a couple of inches on either side. Still the same problem. Argh.

Hi Lou
AR, KN and SK/VA (you choose, in a configuration) was all added in 1.06 on 30-Oct-2020. You can see the firmware version changes here http://qrp-labs.com/qcxp/qcxpfirmware.html

Hi Hans,
That's all good, was just pulling your leg of course. But I did not know about the space being full, so well done fitting it all in. You did not mention <AR> so IF that is not in there and IF
