I would check the RX/TX mute switch, Q5 and C33 as that is how the receive signal gets to the receiver from the low pass filter. And although you say T1 is 100%, I wonder what would be the result

I think your number 5 should be number 1 then 2 and then new 1 again, and again.
the excellent manuals are only any good if you read EVERY word, don't skim and then expect others to do

Don't be too stressed. I would guess most of us here have a $25,000 + vehicle that has had at least one recall for corrective action. I am sure that will survive a simple mod in a $55.00 engineering

I simulated the circuit in LTSpice using an LT1117-5 which had a library part. I added the 470uF capacitor (C47) hanging on the 5V rail via 47uH L6. This has a large effect on the overall circuit
