Re: PA 10 W
QSX? That will have a 10 watt output natively, per the spec, and won't have any need for a 10W linear PA.
Julian, N4JO.

It's all mathematical so far, Bernard, I haven't built one yet. :-) Will do when QSX is there.

Thank you very much, it's actually a very good idea to use a a tenuator to respect the impedance of 50 Ohm.73 dear friend.

Re: PA 10 W
When you connect something to the 10W amp to drive it, you want to make sure that the driver device sees a nice friendly 50 ohm load. One way to do that is to use a bit of attenuation between them;

Thank you very much Jens for the information. Did you encounter any particular difficulties during the construction of the PA? Thank you. Bernard.

Bonjour Bernard,
other group members helped me with the same question, so today it's my turn:
10W, minus 26dB –> 25mW
Best wishes

Re: U3S output ( single band unit versus LPF board unit )
Hi Cathal...
I am comparing a sigle band U3S with 5 watt PA kit and a multiband U3S with a 5 watt PA kit
Doing the comparison i used the same 10M LPF as well as the same 5 watt PA kit for testing

A while back a number of us participated in the “Under 1mW Challenge” which was a totally informal fun event. My U3S here in California was heard all

I changed the Palm Radio link to http://palm-radio.de/ which works, as you say; this way if Palm do anything with the website then the link will still be useful.

Manual correction? I think that on p89 the image on the upper left hand side should also have a pointer to the spacer (M3 7mm) between the back of the front panel and the LCD module PCB.
