I guess you mean 10 ohm , not 10K, or that would be the problem.

I'm sorry, I mistook the author of the linked calculator for another author. John Wetherell is apparently all well and with us, it's just that his personal page no longer works.

You can use various networks for impedance matching, see this: https://home.sandiego.edu/~ekim/e194rfs01/jwmatcher/matcher2.html (the best calculator on this topic, but sadly the author is no more

5 Watt PA
I have 3 of the 5 watt PA units and are of simple build. For the life of me I can only get one to work.
There are 5 #105 capacitors, one 3.3k resistor, one 78L05 100ma voltage regulator, a FT50-43

This might provide some answers: https://www.rcarc.org/presentations/AB2EW%20Class%20C%20club.pdf
Note the cap at the drain to suppress parasitic oscillations.

If you use a LM78L05, it will current limit at about 100mA itself. When the heater has warmed up and the current drops, it will voltage regulate to 5 volts. It must be the "L" version.

No wisdom inferred.
I would be inclined to see if I could make some DC checks on that and surrounding IC Pins, The IC's in that strip are DC coupled

What do you reckon to replacing the BS170s with one. Is there enough level from the XO to drive it? Obviously the connecting to the U3S would be a faff.

Hello Alan,
Thursday, July 25, 2019
I have often thought it would be a nice option for future kits to
have an input for a 10MHz GPSDO as these are now pretty commonplace
and cheap.
