All I got was the PayPal receipt. Ordered QCX+ and case on 5-19-20. Check spam folder daily.

Hi Dave, all

The order confirmation email is sent automatically via the QRP Labs shop when the order is placed and paid (via PayPal or credit card). A second notification email is sent when it is shipped, containing the tracking code (if available), when the darabae is updated with this status.

Since these emails are both sent by the QRP Labs shop, sometimes spam filters mistakenly identify them as spam. So please be sure to check your spam folders.

Another way is to tie a small weights (nuts, washers, roll of electrical tape) to a string and throw it across the area.  Don't use anything that you can't afford to lose (car keys, wedding band).  Works well in a drop ceiling.

Move the shack with a  a shorter run. Seriously, use best quality coax to reduce noise from the wiring.

I need to run my coax feed line through a mess of plumbing/wiring/metal studs/etc.  There is no straight shot through, so rigid conduit is out.  Standard flex conduit is a pain in the *ss.  I was thinking about using pex-al-pex.  Do I need the extra shielding?  Would standard pex be just fine?

Thoughts?  Other options?  Forget the whole thing?

I suppose I should also mention that the route will be taking the feed line past things like a 120VAC to 12VDC transformer.

Ah, that makes sense. If regular pex is flexible enough then I think that sounds like a good option.

First off, is it even necessary to use conduit in your situation? If so, what kind of coax? If you actually do need to protect the cable from damage and need it to be flexible you could use a rubber garden hose.

Dear Hans,
I did not receive and order reply when I ordered 2 QCX+ transceivers (30M and 40M).   I did receive a reply from Pay Pal that the total was paid to QRPLabs, But Nothing from your Company.  I watch my spam filter like a hawk and do check it at least twice a day and no email from QRP Labs
was there.   So, the order reply system may not be working as smooth as you think.   Now I wonder if my order is even there?

Take care and have fun.

As an owner of a very small business I'd like to encourage people to have patience. My impression of BaMaTech is that they are also small. I have a great deal of respect for the quality of their work and have always been treated well by them.

The virus has changed everything for us. Little things can have a great impact, especially if you are small. I don't know Markus's situation but I suspect he is doing the best he can and will take care of business.

Hi Brian

The post office blocked us from a few countries too; Japan and New Zealand, I remember. So those ones, we just upgraded to FedEx Express (TNT) and sent them that way, which wasn't blocked.

Generally throughout the pandemic we have not had much problem with shipping; the packages get out of Turkey promptly but there are a lot longer transit times now for post office mail. Some report 6-10 weeks shipping times. FedEx Express (TNT) say 3-4 business days and in some cases it has got a day or two longer due to canceled flights etc.

So, not really a big impact for us.

I also ordered an enclosure in April. Two unanswered emails have not reassured me that I have not wasted my money. I understand there are issues with the pandemic but to ignore customer inquiries  is inexcusable.   Shipping from other parts of the world seem to be at least moving. I wouldn't buy anything else from these folks unless their response improves

Thank you for the information Hans,

I wonder if I got that first email that went to my spam folder, which has since emptied from that time. I'll be checking it, the spam folder, regularly to watch for the shipping email.

Now, don't worry about us out here, we'll survive. You take care of yourself, your family, and the brand new CuteCX+ you have there.

Stay safe.

I bought a QCX enclosure from them last Christmas (before Covid19), and they were quick to ship.

I got the enclosure here in Virginia in less than a month from the day I placed my order.

I hope shipping things get back to “normal” soon.

I have seen one toasted attenuator, where someone wanted to look at noise on a 48v supply, with an analyser.

Many years ago, a senior tech decided to take over, where I was training some young techs on how to use Spectrum Analysers. Blew the attenuators on all settings, the juniors told me..

Since the noise is at low frequencies, a  external  PC soundcard may be better. I have seen some good articles where they have a low noise opamp feeding a soundcard, for checking regulator noise

Possibly you are getting expected output power, as the fine print implies that much power at 13 volts, and the advertised 5w requires at least 15 volts on the PA. Others with my recent info can correct me. Meanwhile,  the community is addressing the measurement nuances with you. Don't sweat the last 1 dB.
