I am using a QCX+ as a 1W WSPR beacon on 40M. It has been running rock solid for ages.

To transmit at the 1W level, I had to drop the supply voltage to 8V.
Total current draw at TX is 340 mA.

The Mini design is very similar to the QCX+, so I gather this will work the same way.
