60 years ago, I was active as SWL chasing DX on 80m.
At full moon, propagation was always better.

The last 20 years I have been chasing NDB's on long wave and believe it or not, the same
phenomenon was found over and over again.

If I remember correct this has been discussed in QST long ago with no clear outcome.
