I had tried an AC power supply/charger for a laptop but it was incredibly noisy
I have run my QCX 40 on a Toshiba laptop power supply with great satisfaction. VERY quiet. 4 Amps. Steady 15V output. Problems solved. It was a used ebay item. Hopefully that can also work on the 50w RF amp. Just be sure to install fuses between the PS and Amp. FWIW
