Hi Hans

While you are responding about feature wish list,  I posted previously an idea about adding a menu option that if a GPS is connected then it could append lat/long coordinates to a beacon message.  I didn't see any response from you but a few people responded to the poll that it would be a nice feature.  I suggested this as it could be a valuable asset if someone is in trouble and can't sit at the radio sending an SOS.  The lat/long could allow responders  to arrive without a need for DF also if the beacon went silent, one would still have the location.  An odd request maybe, but if it was easy to add I hope you would consider it for a future firmware release?

The second of those, tuning indication... would be very nice but I suspect not easy. Remember the QCX has a humble 20MHz 8-bit ATmega328. How much program memory is available, and how to implement limited FFT fast enough for a tuning indicator... is an interesting and challenging question. I don't say impossible. Just not very easy.

QSX, KX3, K3 etc all have much more powerful DSP processors inside. This feature will be in the QSX for sure. I will have to contemplate more carefully how (or if) to achieve it on QCX.
