With respect to the unidentified station on 13640 in Japanese at 22:05; chances are it was China Radio International which airs Japanese language programming from Jinhua on 13640 from 22:00 to 24:00.

Thanks! Do you recall a station called"Radio America" which transmitted on 15470 khz on September 1984?
I heard that on the old Uniden CR2021 radio with outdoor whip.It has not been heard since.Was this a pirate? GH says not.What do you think?

There was a ststion called Radio Free America, operating off the coast of Cape May, NJ. However, it did not broadcast on 15740 kHz.

whatever.My observation stands and is factual.The Frquency on shortwave was 15470 khz between 23:00-00:00 UTC on October 1984.I heard them using a Uniden CR 2021 with 100 foot coax strung between two trees.
