** CHINA. 11440, June 28 at 1222, CNR1 jammer, as I start today`s
hunt, ignoring the ``in-band`` ones above 11500, except to note they match 11785 and 11825. 11460, June 28 at 1222, much weaker carrier than 11440 CNR1 jammer. 11150, June 28 at 1223, CNR1 jammer. In EiBi, not Aoki. 11100, June 28 at 1227, CNR1 jammer. Unlike all the others, this one has a LAH = low audible heterodyne varying slightly on hi side, maybe Sound of Hope target itself. EiBi in fact shows SOH on 11100.1 12190, June 28 at 1229, CNR1 jammer. 13160, June 28 at 1231, CNR1 jammer strongest, S7-S9 13550, June 28 at 1231, JBA carrier, CNR1 jammer? Not in EiBi or Aoki 13870, June 28 at 1232, CNR1 jammer. 14700, June 28 at 1233, JBA carrier, unlisted CNR1 jammer? 14850, June 28 at 1234, Chinese, CNR1 jammer 14980, June 28 at 1235, CNR1 jammer, second strongest WOOB, S6-S8. 15920, June 28 at 1235, Chinese, CNR1 jammer. No other way-out-of-band ones found in the 10-16 MHz range. U.o.s., all listed as CNR1 jammer/SOH frequencies (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 12000, June 28 at 1218, RHC is S7-S8 here, bonus harmonic of 6000, which is S9 to S9+10; while 6100 with CCI from CRI in Russian if not also KCBS Pyongyang; 6100 has no bonus harmonic to be heard on 12200! Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** NIGERIA. 7255-, June 28 at 0602, VON is gone again (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 12350-USB, June 28 at 1228, WCY conveying marine weather outlooks for Caribyachts, but also with a carrier partially demodulating him --- i.e., local mixing product of 13740 RHC minus 1390 KCRC = 12350; and which goes away with preamps off (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 7505, June 28 at 0602, WRNO is gone again, after having been in well at 0236. Curtailed ``schedule``? Or just totally unreliable (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) UNIDENTIFIED. 11111.1-USB, June 28 at 1227 during CNR1 jammer bandscan, find JBA 2-way in Spanish. I bet I know how they picked this frequency. Or is it 11111.11? Hard to tell with no carrier just relying on how normal the voices sound (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) UNIDENTIFIED. 13728-USB, June 28 at 1409, S8, 2-way in colloquial Spanish expletiving plenty of ``puta madres``, and with loud ``engine noise`` keeping the vox on during pauses; aircraft? Finally cambio to contact at 1411 who has different and softer background noise. 1440 recheck the louder one still going. This frequency is now available since RHC cleaned up its spurs from 13700 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) This report dispatched at 1606 UT June 28

** CUBA. 5990, June 29 at 2316, CRI English relay is S7-S9 but JBM; if
// 15120, no signal there. Definitely off is 6000 RHC since this is Saturday, so no leapfrog on 6010 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENIG DIGEST) ** NIGERIA. 11769.901, June 29 at 1734, JBA carrier, presumably Voice of Nigeria, as others have been reporting it on this `new` frequency ``11770`` both morning and evening. Axually 11770 is a very old frequency of theirs which had been disused for many years. The offset is in keeping with all its other frequencies shifted circa 0.1 kHz to the low side. Wolfgang Bueschel measured it June 28 on 11769.903 --- close enough. (I also have another stronger carrier about 11770.9, probably from a local device.) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** ROMANIA. 9760, June 29 at 2321, song at S3-S6, presumed RRI; yes, // 11800 & 11900 when a Spanish announcement soon follows. Can`t hear any of that underneath 11700 RHC, so RRI may have wisely vacated that (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** TURKEY. 9830, June 29 at 2306, Türkisch musik, as once again the sloppyrators at Emiler have dozed? failing to turn 9830 off before 2300 when Englisch is finisched. A repeat of the German hour always follows on the program feed; I recheck just in time at 2319 to hear a few words of German before it is chopped off the air at 2319:45* (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1988 monitoring: confirmed first NAm SWBC, Friday June 28 at 2200 on WRMI 9955, fair, no upcut but joined at start about 2159:50 after ID which also ran a bit early. Also confirmed UT Saturday June 29 at 0130 on WRMI 7780, poor-fair. No reports yet from anyone about HLR 6190 Sat June 29 at 0630v; or 9485 Sat June 29 at 1430. For the latter, no trace of a signal heard by UTwente SDR, just huge splash from 9490 Romania. Not confirmed Sat June 29 at 2030 on WRMI 15770 --- instead, Wavescan as now shown on skedgrid; so that did not last long, WOR only for the past two weeks. I go on to search the WRMI sked and find more changes: UT Monday at 0130 now a blank space on 9395; but WOR added on 7780, while remaining on 7780 an hour later at 0230. To be confirmed. Confirmed Sat June 29 at 2100 on WRMI 9955, again upcut during theme after my first utterance, poor S7-S9 vs summer noise level. Not confirmed Sat June 29 at 2130 on WBCQ 9330 when an ad-hoc airing occurred last week while testing; not on the air this early. Next: 0130 UT Sunday WRMI 5850 0300vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315] 1030 UT Sunday HLR 7265-CUSB Germany 2130 UT Sunday WRMI 7780 0130 UT Monday WRMI 9395 changed to 7780? 0230 UT Monday WRMI 7780 0300vUT Monday WBCQ 5130v Area 51 [and 9330? last 2 weeks special] 0330 UT Monday WRMI 9955 0930 UT Monday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW 1816 UT Monday IRRS 7290 Romania 0100 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 0800 UT Tuesday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW [2 editions] 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 9955 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v [and/or 2130] 0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 0930 UT Friday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW Also check 9330 WBCQ for unscheduled airings during testing phase. [it appears we will now be running on a Friday-to-Thursday cycle, so freshest new airings are on weekends] Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 9330.00, Fri June 28 at 2200, WBCQ-6 after a rockhour, another old `AWWW` playback starts with WTO. Reckeck UT Sat June 29 at 0000 for a new `Allan Weiner Worldwide`, yes, except it`s hosted by TimTron, from his own studio in Skowhegan. Whenever he or Larry Will guests, it`s an entirely different show hardly worthy of the AWWW title. TimTron muses and plays a lot of music, does not take calls, rather like his own show. I think I heard only one belch. His booming voice goes nicely with the booming signal, but never distorted. There does seem to be a background noise vox effect buildup during brief pauses, AVC? Says it might be his first and last time on the 500 kW. I`ll bet he`d love to hook his ham rig up to the Ampegon antenna. As I understand it, while ham transmitter power is strictly limited, antenna gain is not. I`ve previously heard WA1HLR on 80 meters with a broadcast-strength AM signal and wondered if that was really WBCQ equipment. Here is John Carver`s report about that hour: Tonight's show started on time on 7490 but it's TimTron hosting instead of Allan. Theme song plays at 0002. He marvels at the superstation and says he never ever thought about such a thing. He managed an analogy between the superstation and golf. Said a golfer will study the lay of the land and chose the best club to get the ball to the hole. Sometimes it's a ten kW club and they hope the ball makes it there. With the superstation they're using a 500 kW club and hit more than one hole at the same time. He says there will be no email this evening as he's afraid that his computer is dying and he's had enough problems with the internet relay there that he's afraid that if he fires up another computer for email it might blow the internet connection. No phone calls as he doesn't want to give out his phone number. Then some music and back to talk. Some anti-Trump talk and then waxes philosophic in an attempt to explain how Trump got elected in the first place. He jumps back to the Vietnam war and then jumps back and forth to explain what happened to the people in this country and how they do or don't react to things. Music and back to talk. He blames part of the problem on the demise of broadcasting in this country along with the fairness doctrine which allowed such things as the FOX network and Rush Limbaugh. Said that with the dying out of AM and FM stations and the cloning of stations so they all were alike coast to coast we were in big trouble and should the internet go down because of global conflict along with the demise of shortwave broadcasters we'd really be in big trouble and wouldn't have the information to make an informed choice. Some more music, talk, music, talk with a closing jab at Trump over immigration policies and then closed with more music. Both the program and 7490 were off at 0100. John, Mid-North Indiana`` I am rechecking 9330 after 0600 June 29 when another `AWWW` playback is running, AW along with Tom Barna in studio. At 0620 AW recommends reading something in RCA Broadcast News, May 1934, available at amemricanradiohistoroy.com about what? Maybe early high-power AM broadcasting. 9330.00 is not on by 2100 this Saturday June 29, or 2200? Retune at 2259, now on with open carrier, music and ID loop hitting S9+35-40-45; 2301, 500,000 watts ID and sirens, TimTron opening his new live June 29 show which he says is trimulcasting also on 5130+ (JBA carrier here) and ``propagation test frequency 3265`` (zero here; and 7490 remains off). Until 2323 he`s mostly playing music, then another 500,000 watts ID. People getting used to such super-entertainment are going to be very disappointed when, July 8, the flat-earth World`s Last Chance ministry takes over 9330 --- we can only hope that a bit of time can be carved out/retained for some of WBCQ`s own programs (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 5085, Sat June 29 at 2343, WTWW-2 starts `Theatre Organ in the Ozarx` late again after some hamshow runover, so I switch to stereo webcast which lasts until 2417, never just 30 minutes or 29. This time I hear Bob Heil intro giving his location in the Ozarx as Pleasant Hope --- not Pleasant Hill. I`m surprised no one ever corrected me about that, as I contradicted him more than once pointing out that Pleasant Hill, which is what I thought he was saying, is near Kansas City, beyond the Ozarx. Pleasant Hope really is in the Ozarx a few miles north of Springfield, and ARRL/FCC lookup confirms that is where K9EID is to be found. If I make a mistake I want it corrected sooner or later, even if I have to do it myself (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 1210, UT Sat June 29 at 0606 UT, scary theme music recognized of `Beyond Reality Radio`, which means for the sixth night, daytimer WJNL Kingsley MI is again operating; with ~3 Hz SAH from KGYN, which this time even when nulled is too strong to allow much signal from WJNL. Has anyone else logged WJNL cheating by now?? NTMK (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) This report dispatched at 0115 UT June 30

Glenn Hauser logs June 30, 2019
Glenn Hauser
** CUBA. 12200, June 30 at 0535, RHC `Music with a Message`, somewhat
distorted at S6-S7, second harmonic of 6100, which is S9+30 with the same overmodulation distortion. While // 6165 is S9+10/20 and undermodulated but not distorted; // 6000 same S9+10/20 suppressed modulation yet is distorted (i.e. suptorted). // 5040 is S9+10/20 with less distortion. Show features old American protest songs, just another attempt to further its anti-American mantra. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 11880, June 30 at 1344, CRI relay transmitter is already on with S9+20 of open carrier prior to 1400 broadcast in English. Think how many nutritious meals undernourished Cubans could be fed for the expense of broadcasting 250 kW of nothing for a quarter-hour. Not to mention all the dead air from spy numbers frequencies. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** MEXICO. 6185, June 30 at 0327, NO signal from XEPPM, as Manuel Méndez, Spain has also been noting for a few nights. Let`s hope Mexico`s last SWBC station is not gone forever too (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** NIGERIA. 11769.9, June 30 at 0602, talk presumed Hausa from Voice of Nigeria, S9/S9+10 and somewhat undermodulated. Nothing to be heard on 7254.9 or 9689.9. It seems that VON has replaced all its previous frequencies with this one; why? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** SOLOMON ISLANDS. 9545, June 30 at 0455, JBA signal, S3-S4 with traces of modulation, presumed SIBC as Ron Howard has reported reactivated on its daytime frequency scheduled until 0500* switch to 5020 (and which carrier becomes audible by 0600 as I have noted). So I listen carefully whether this 9545 will turn off – yes! Cut at 0459:23*. 24 hours earlier, Wolfgang Bueschel measured it on the Brisbane remote: ``9544.998 1/2 kHz at 0453 UT on June 29``. (Meanwhile the only other Pacific signal, NZ on 9700, has just come on at S9+10 for one hour.) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1988 monitoring: confirmed UT Sunday June 30 at 0130 on WRMI 5850, VG S9+20/30. Also confirmed UT Sun June 30 at 0328 on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, MO, only 2 minutes into, so started circa 0326. S9+20/30 but that includes considerable summer storm noise level, none nearby. Still no reports of anyone hearing any of the three broadcasts via Hamburger LokalRadio, 6190, 9485 or 7265. Next: 2130 UT Sunday WRMI 7780 0130 UT Monday WRMI 9395 changed to 7780? 0230 UT Monday WRMI 7780 0300vUT Monday WBCQ 5130v Area 51 [and 9330? last 2 weeks special] 0330 UT Monday WRMI 9955 0930 UT Monday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW 1816 UT Monday IRRS 7290 Romania 0100 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 0800 UT Tuesday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW [2 editions] 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 9955 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v [and/or 2130] 0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 0930 UT Friday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW Also check 9330 WBCQ for unscheduled airings during testing phase. [it appears we will now be running on a Friday-to-Thursday cycle, so freshest new airings are on weekends] Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 7490+, June 30 at 0147 just as I tune in, this WBCQ cuts off the air amid some program, presumably `SW Saturday Night`. Maybe there was an overall power failure or storm, as this correlates with Richard Langley, NB at 0201: ``9330 kHz putting in a fairly good signal into NB just 100 km from the station with the Lumpy Gravy Radio Show (not live -- from a Thanksgiving) at 0145 UT this evening (30 June UT). At the time, 5130 kHz was airing the same program but offset a second or two. 5130 was not heard when rechecked at 0150. 3265 kHz was also on earlier with a different program but gone by 0150 UT, too.`` I don`t check again until 0329 when 9330.00 is on with `SW Saturday Night` as J.P. Is starting his ``train set``; nothing at all audible now on 7490+ or 5130+. I think there was another old AWWW playback after 0400. 9330+, by 0534 June 30, WBCQ-6 is off and low-power Brother Scare is resumed (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 5050, UT Sun June 30 at 0327, WWRB is still on with gospel huxtress, S9+20/30. I think I was already hearing it by 2300 Saturday, but not logged. Who knows what the real schedule is? Website http://www.wwrb.org/ remains totally outdated mentioning only winter frequencies 3215 & 3185 [sic], and no link to a program schedule; there may still be a now-imaginary old one lacking a link if I could find my bookmark. Dave Frantz has made it abundantly clear what a low priority WWRB is for him below his aeronautical business. I think 5050 is active only on Sat/Sun and Sun/UT Mon (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 1210, UT Sun June 30 at 0558, at least two talk stations mixing with 3 Hz SAH, typical beat of KGYN OK vs WJNL MI daytimer, but can`t get an ID past 0607. Unknown what program is on UT Sun, as `Beyond Reality` is probably UT Tue-Sat, and Jim Bohannon was last UT Mon. I`m confident this is still WJNL cheating, as I remain waiting to see if anyone else ever report it (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) This report despatched at 1946 UT June 30

Glenn Hauser logs June 30-July 1-2, 2019
Glenn Hauser
** CUBA. 5040, July 1 at 0525, RHC English during mailbag is JBM and
suptorted rather than often the best modulated outlet; 6100 is loudest S9+40 and slightly distorted; 6165 is S9+20/30 but sounds much weaker due to undermodulation; 6000 is S9+20/30 too by very suptorted. Wiggle those patchcords! At least all four frequencies are on; as the Cuban Fifth, 6060, seems gone for good. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** NIGERIA. 11769.9, July 2 at 0608, VON S6-S9 in presumed Hausa, ex 7254.9 and sometimes 9689.9. Is anyone ever hearing them on those frequencies now? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1988 monitoring: Ivo Ivanov says: ``GERMANY, Reception of World of Radio via HLR on 6190 CUSB, June 29: https://swldxbulgaria.blogspot.com/2019/07/reception-of-world-of-radio-via-hlr-on.html 0631-0700 6190 GOH 001 kW / 230 deg CeEu English Sat, weak to fair`` [still no reports from him or anyone about HLR Sat 1430 on 9485, or Sun 1030 on 7265] Confirmed Sunday June 30 at 2146 the 2130 on WRMI 7780, VP. Also confirmed UT Monday July 1 at 0130 still on WRMI 9395, S9+10, altho this airing had been erased from websked; and now also on 7780 as a separate playout a couple seconds behind, very poor in noise. The 9395 airing continues to be preceded by a strange ``Son-Power Radio on 5850, 7455 and 9395`` ID, which followed a rendition of the song ``Those Were the Days``. Also confirmed UT Monday July 1 one hour later at 0230 on WRMI 7780, poor vs noise level. ** CUBA. 5040, July 1 at 0525, RHC English during mailbag is JBM and suptorted rather than often the best modulated outlet; 6100 is loudest S9+40 and slightly distorted; 6165 is S9+20/30 but sounds much weaker due to undermodulation; 6000 is S9+20/30 too by very suptorted. Wiggle those patchcords! At least all four frequencies are on; as the Cuban Fifth, 6060, seems gone for good. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** NIGERIA. 11769.9, July 2 at 0608, VON S6-S9 in presumed Hausa, ex 7254.9 and sometimes 9689.9. Is anyone ever hearing them on those frequencies now? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

Glenn Hauser
** CHINA. 7370, July 2 at 1657, JBA carrier. Aoki/NDXC shows this must
be a CNR1 jammer against RFA Chinese via Tajikistan, this hour only. 7300, July 2 at 1658 another JBA carrier, CNR1 jammer against RTI until 1700 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** NIGERIA. 11769.902, July 2 at 1650, VON surprisingly good in English, S9+10/S8, discussing tourism in Africa on its favorite new/revived frequency. No QRM here from PBS Xinjiang, Urumqi, East Turkistan, as others have complained, scheduled all the way from 23 to 18 UT (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** SINGAPORE. 11795, July 2 at 1410, poor S3-S5 signal woman speaking; intonation sounds a bit like German, but no words recognizable; Aoki/NDXC shows it`s really Hindi! From BBCWS this semihour only. Aimed NW from Kranji, we are *way* off-target for this. Not much else direct from Asia on band except North Korea. 7355, July 2 at 1658, woman in Chinese?, VP S4-S5, KNLS? No, it`s finished at 1500. 1659, continuous beeping mixed with music, signature of BBC, maybe leading into timesignal when beeping stops at 1700:00 but stays on with programming. Aoki shows it`s really BBC Korean at 1530-1830 via SINGAPORE, altho Nippon no Kaze via Taiwan is also on 7355 at 1630-1700. Pleased to be getting even this much signal from Asia so late into one of the longest days of the year (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** SOUTH CAROLINA [non]. 11600, July 2 at 1651, raspy tones of Brother Scare, S4-S6. Aoki shows via BULGARIA at 1400-1700. HFCC shows Kostinbord available 24 hours, 50 kW at 306 degrees to W Europe and here we are beyond (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** SPAIN. 12030, Tue July 2 at 1645, Arabic talk but playing medieval Christian choral music, S8-S5. It`s REE crusading to the Mideast at 1630 M-F, but well audible back here oppositely (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** TURKEY. 9460, July 2 at 1653 nice strumming music, S9-S6, from VOT Turkish service scheduled here 1600-2100, if they don`t screw it up, 500 kW, 310 degrees from Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENIING DIGEST) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1988 monitoring: confirmed UT Tue July 2 at 0100 on WRMI 7780, VP. Next: 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 9955 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v [and/or 2130] 0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 0930 UT Friday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW Also check 9330 WBCQ for unscheduled airings during testing phase. 7505, July 2 at 0433, no signal from WRNO. Other reports indicate it now turns off circa 0400 if it has been on at all, and thus no more Chinese on and off until 1300*. `Grace for Today`, the Chinese-language broadcast, still has a place on the website which never gave any exact schedule info: http://www.wrnoworldwide.com/grace-for-today/ (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 5085, July 2 at 0546, WTWW-2 is on not with rock music, but a far-right political talk show. Reminds me of one Ted ran for a while last year, originating nearby in Tennessee; not sure if this is the same one. It`s hard to copy what the host is saying despite bigsig along with the 5072/5098 JBA spurs. But I make notes for the next few minutes. He has a YL sidekick talking at first, about Antifa, but most of the time she just makes assenting noises. Topic is Portland, where there was some kind of confrontation; ``crush them!`` Says program is Sunday-Thursday and the third hour is coming up. He likes 3-hour format better than 1-hour. Already at 0551 he says ``Be right back after top-of-hour news break``. But then an adstring for questionable products such as how to collect $1795 a month from the federal government; somebody selling turkey meat; survivalist food stocking. It`s the Pete –something- show, and at 0555 starting the third hour, so either his clock is way fast or this is a playback. I thought the Portland affair occurred several weeks ago but maybe this is something newer? Deb Jordan is the guest(?) co-host(?). They go on to equate liberals with communists; ``Portland is Communist Central``. Keeps going right past real ToH with no ID break by 0603. 0609 plugs his website preparewithpete.com i.e. Pete Santilli, selling emergency food supplies for hefty prices; why not Walmart? Nothing there about a radio show. He doesn`t give a phone number but nevertheless takes a call, another clue that this be an editied playback. Interrupted by some dead air. ``Communists have infiltrated our country``. Then refers to being on WTWW (and no other stations mentioned), asking calls to 563-999-1479 supposedly at or via WTWW, but search on that exchange leads to Muscatine, Iowa. I reawaken at 0650 just as he is signing off until 9:00 tomorrow = live at 0200 UT if referring to CDT zone. Then a VPN ad as I turn off. Is there anything about this at http://wtww.us website? Of course not! altho still featured is the long-gone `Dave Ramsey Show` (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 9475, July 2 at 1653, no signal from WTWW-1, but weak S9-S6 vs noise level and just barely modulated on 5830. So once again Ted has failed to make the night/day frequency change nominally at 1400, and now it`s almost ``noon`` when 51 meters is not usable. A pity for SFAW and PPPP. But it does qualify as both SSOB and OSOB, continuing past 1701+ (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 17774.994, July 2 at 1416, S9+20 of dead air except for some hum; had not been there when I went by about 1410. So KVOH has come on without modulation, perhaps with sporadic E boost. Next check at 1641 no signal at all when normally it would at least be detectable without Es. About 6 Hz off to the low side, so we still wonder if it`s the old or new transmitter having problems (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 103.9 WBFM, July 2 circa 1630 UT on caradio, a weak gospel huxter here where normally I hear nothing. No significant tropo enhancement beyond marginal Level 1 per Hepburn map. WTFDA shows one likely Okie, as in Osage: KOSG Pawhuska, 6/6 kW, 100 meters, ``SOUTHERN GOSPEL - THE GOSPEL STATION`` But always must also check Kansas, where we find KHYM, Copeland, 100/100 kW, 229m, ``SOUTHERN GOSPEL - PRAISE & ENCOURAGEMENT``. Copeland is an insignificant town WSW of Dodge on US Hwy 56, except for KHYM which has a bunch of translators in KS & OK, https://khymfm.org/listen-near-you/ including 90.3 in Fairview near Enid, but WTFDA DB does not connect KHEV with KHYM. In fact you will hear KHYM IDs there a lot more than KHEV. KHYM is almost exactly twice as far from Enid as KOSG, 276 km/171 miles vs 141 km/87 miles, but I suspect the 16x power differential still makes KHYM more likely. Of course if there is a next time I could try to match it to 90.3 KHEV (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) This report dispatched at 1921 UT July 2

** CHINA. CNR1 jammer hunt July 3 finds the following:
10550, July 3 at 1316, JBA carrier --- maybe not, unlisted 10960, July 3 at 1316, Chinese from CNR1 jammer 11440, July 3 at 1317, CNR1 jammer much stronger than 11460 12820, July 3 at 1349, CNR1 jammer in Chinese, S1-S2 12870, July 3 at 1349, CNR1 jammer best of all S4-S5. No further WOOB ones found. The five above all check in EiBi as CNR1 jammers against Sound of Hope (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 12200, July 3 at 0558, RHC English is S7-S9 and still past 0602+, second harmonic of 6100; and 12200 is the SSOB! Somewhat stronger than 11610 WEWN, everything else on 25m JBA carriers. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** NIGERIA. 11769.9, July 3 at 0558, no signal from VON here, nor on 7254.9 nor 9689.9; however shortly after 0600, Ivo Ivanov, Bulgaria, found it ``weak`` back on 7254.9 which I did not check again (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. Allan Weiner imminent on Amateur Radio Roundtale, W5KUB.com Artie Bigley forwards these twits from Tom Medlin @w5kub ``Tues 8 PM Central on http://w5kub.com Allan Weiner once pirrate radio and now licensed station. see the new super station 500,000 watts and 23 db antenna. Most powerful in the u.s. (intl time Wed 0100) @amatradio #swl #shortwave #hamr 9:39 PM - 30 Jun 2019 Tom Medlin @w5kub 6h6 hours ago Tom Medlin Retweeted Tom Medlin Its going to be a big show. http://w5kub.com at 8 PM central (0100 UTC Wed) Tom Medlin added, Tom Medlin @w5kub 2h2 hours ago dont forger our net on 7.180 tonight at 5:30 PM central. then the live show on http://w5kub.com at 8 PM central. if you tune in to http://w5kub.com during the net you will see your smeter. @sar_news @qrznow @dxcoffee @amatradio #ham radio #hamr #swl #shortwave`` The broadcast is normally on hard-to-hear 5130+v WBCQ; on this occasion maybe also on 500 kW 9330, but not mentioned by Tom. AW said something about that previously, or was it last week? Yes, an earlier twit from Tom publicized AW being on the show June 25! So is this in addition to or instead of? (Glenn Hauser, 0010 UT July 3, WOR iog via DXLD) Yes, tonight on http://tmedlin.com/video-2-2/ Gets to AW audio-only on the phone interview at 0115, at first very undermodulated. And yes, now also on 9330, but bad distortion level, then improving. At 0100, 9330 had switched from an AWWW playback to WHVW feed, so I figured Amateur R Roundtable would not be on that. So far it`s just about AW`s early pirate or ``civil disobedience`` radio days. Silly me, I started out watching a W5KUB ``live stream`` of Tom messing with the computer, until I read the fine print -- it was from 2016, which hardly qualifies as live now. ``Live stream`` naming should be deleted after the fact. Then I found the real live stream which was about 8 seconds apart from 9330. Later that had been reduced to only one second. Among the info gleaned from what AW said on this interview: WBCQ=6 is not full 500 kW power yet, but almost. Will be in a couple of days. (This contradicts previous info from WBCQ that it had been up to 500 kW for several days now.) ERP is almost 20 megawatts at 9 MHz. The 200-ton Ampegon antenna is precisely balanced and can be moved by hand rather than two 3 hp motors, very quietly. 9330 is currently aimed 270 degrees true, toward Mexico and Central America (no, that would be 240 degrees or less). It takes 2.5 minutes for the antenna to rotate 360 degrees. Has TimTron hooked his ham rig up to the Ampegon? Not yet. Tom would like to do that when he visit Monticello. The very large final tube cost $80K. Another one for standby is on order. 5130 transmitter is #2. WBCQ property occupies 200 acres (earlier he gave a smaller figure over 100). The Weiners live in a house ``down the road`` and there is no RF overload problem at ground level from the 500 kW. Will have new QSL cards for the first time in 20 years. But AW hardly has spare time to send them. Please include SASEs. The entire interview lasted until 0200 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 5830, July 2 at 1932, WTWW-1 is still on night frequency, not 9475. I hear that Ted is in a wheelchair, so may have mobility issues getting to and from and around inside the station. But shouldn`t it be remote-controlled for frequency changes?? 5085, UT Wed July 3 at 0610, WTWW-2 is on again with the Pete Santilli far-right talk show, plugging his survivalist food; guest on phone is ``Ben Time Traveler``, still going at 0621. Haven`t found when this start and if rock DJ lineup earlier be curtailed (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 17775, July 2 at 1933, missing earlier, now KVOH is S5-S6 and modulating (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) This report dispatched at 1654 UT July 3

** ANTARCTICA. 15476-, Thu July 4 at 1416, JJBBA carrier slightly on
the low side, signature of LRA36 on the air; as confirmed by Manuel Méndez, Spain, later, extremely weak around 1900. I cannot detect it at 1915 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CHINA. 7730, July 4 at 1248, VP in Chinese; and a JBA carrier on 7570. Better known as WRMI frequencies, but now surely CNR1 jammers. WRMI 7570 is apparently still off the air like it was last night, instead of with SMTV as scheduled 11-14 UT. However, CNR1 jamming would not be expected until 1300 VOA Mandarin hour via Thailand start. 7730 is a Sound of Hope, Taiwan frequency 23 hours a day and thus subject to continuous jamming (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) See also USA: WEWN ** CUBA. 6000, July 4 at 0132, RHC English in mailbag, suptorted; // 6165 is on now JBM but less suptorted. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 11670, July 4 at 0138, RHC Spanish is JBM, much softer than // 11700, 11760, 11850 --- it`s more like the JBA spurs on 11840 & 11860. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA [and non]. 9535, July 4 at 0541, RHC Spanish is still running now colliding with Algeria in Arabic via FRANCE, which is on 9535 at 05-06 only, expecting it to be clear! Sometimes RHC past 0500 on 9535 has switched to English feed, not this time. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** MEXICO. 6185, July 4 at 0135, music from XEPPM, back on the air after about a week out of air, S9+10/20 but that includes the high local line noise level. Manuel Méndez, Spain, reported it earlier, and Ron Howard too, who forwards this: ``from Facebook (WRTH), from Luis Alejandro Vallebueno: "Radio Educación XEEP, 6185 kHz has been reactivated today [July 2] at 18:00 GMT with 1.5 kW. Information via Julián Santiago Díez de Bonilla and Pilar Cruz"``. Original rated power as in WRTH 2019 was 10 kW. We used to hear directly from JSDB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1989, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** NIGERIA. 11769.9, July 4 at 1923, S5-S7 carrier, no doubt VON maybe still in English but can`t hear any (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** TURKEY. 11980, July 4 at 0545, ME music, VP S5-S7. HFCC shows it`s VOT Turkish at 04-06, 500 kW at 310 degrees toward W Europe and also USward. In previous years this transmission was listenable here for the music, but not with solar flux below 70 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1988 monitoring: confirmed Wednesday July 3 at 2100 on WRMI 9955, and finally *not* upcut, automation back in alignment after IS & ID loop, S7 vs S6 noise level when tuned to next vacant frequency. However, *no* signal, not even a carrier audible from simulcast on WBCQ 7490+v, and despite HNL, generally VP summer reception, think that transmitter is not on air. Meanwhile, cannot detect any signal at all on 7490+v when World of Radio should be airing. 9330.00, UT Thu July 4 at next check 0117, a very mean-sounding talk host must be Hal Turner as scheduled weekly, 01-03 on WBCQ 7490+v, and which frequency is still undetectable here; confirmed as such by same thing // if not synchronized on 9455 WRMI, which activates this frequency only on Wednesday night for Turner, flanked by an hour before and after of BS. 9330.00, UT Thu July 4 at 0330, VORW gets a chance on WBCQ-6 500 kW, John in a mailbag acknowledging first-name-only reports mostly of 9395 (WRMI). May not know he`s on 9330 right now; then music requests 3-in-a-row. Don`t expect anything but World`s Last Chance ministry on 9330 starting July 8 unless that target date slip again (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 7570, July 4 at 0125, this WRMI is unusually off the air while 7730, 7780 are still going; and 9455 with Hal Turner // 9330 WBCQ but not 7490 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 7505v, July 4 at 0124, WRNO is on again with gospel music at S9/+10. Strangely with regular fading about once per second, like a subaudible het --- in this case I can`t imagine from what, as HFCC shows nothing else scheduled now; Goa and Dushanbe are on 7505 at other dayparts. Self-imposed transmitter problem? 0327 recheck now WRNO in Chinese, so still some `Grace for Today` even if not all-night (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1989, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 15825, Wed July 3 at 2105, WWCR gets sporadic E boost to S9+5, nice flamenco classical guitar music, ``olé`` and 2106 starting ``Luz para las Rosas`` by the ``ministerio Hermana Rosa de Hierro`` (Sister Iron Rose), what a name. Perhaps that is a subset of what`s on the program sked Wed at 2100-2130 on WWCR-1: `La Voz Alegre` with Rex Morgan. That would be same as the Spanish service from Madagascar World Voice, which axually originates in nearby Franklin TN (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 5085, UT Wed July 4 at 0325, WTWW-2 is off, no rock DJ tonight, altho 5830 WTWW-1 remains on with undermodulated SFAW. Next check at 0535, 5085 still off and could easily overcome the S9+10 line noise level if it were on; while 5830 is S9+20/30 of dead air. So no Pete Santilli far-right talk show tonight on 5085. Altho he said he was on 3 hours a night UT Tue-Sat, he might be on SW only two nights a week, as I heard UT Tue & Wed on WTWW. 5085, next2 check, UT Fri July 5 at 0105, plug for a ``pray for me`` circle at WTWW, 0107 a Ted ham ad, 0108 hymn, so no more rock DJ even when on? No, 0119 Ted intro Motown music; at 0200 ``Greatest Hits of All Time``, Ted`s night to DJ, 0203 Herman`s Hermits. Modulation now is annoyingly distorted (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENNG DIGEST) ** U S A. 5830, July 4 at 1921, again today, WTWW-1 stays on night frequency all day – S9 but high noise level, at first seems dead air, then JBM; nothing on 9475 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A [and non]. 9470, July 4 at 1256, ``Salve Regina`` from WEWN but also a fast SAH from something in Chinese. Altho WEWN targets the FE in English about to close at 1300, 9470 is a very busy frequency, with CNR1 jamming RTI at 12-13. I`ll bet no one hears EWTN over there (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) UNIDENTIFIED. 10550, July 4 at 1259-1300+, S2-S4 carrier open except for some clix about once per second; what? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) UNIDENTIFIED. 11825, July 4 at 1305, open carrier/dead air. Maybe VOA Mandarin via Thailand not turned off at 1300 or CNR1 jamming of same. If it were off-frequency 11825.5, per EiBi at 1300-1330 it would be FEBC Hong Kong via Bocaue, Philippines in the KHA dialect of Tibetan. This signal much stronger than the CNR1 jammer still running on 11785 vs VOA Philippines (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) This report dispatched at 0229 UT July 5

Wolfgang Bueschel reminds us of his exhaustive survey of SOH/jammers from April 6, which he has just rechecked via remote receivers in E Asia, in the 1158-1600 UT period: he was not hearing 12870 or 13550 at whatever time he went by, and had not yet reached 14850 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 12000, July 5 at 1309, `Amigos de Cuba` friends-only mailbag, S5-S8 here on second harmonic of 6000 at S9+10. RFE is really on the WBCQ sked only at 02-03 UT Sun on 5130+v, i.e. part of Area 51. HF Underground archive has many logs of RFE when it was really a pirate on 42mb, mostly in the 2009-2012 era. 9330.00, Fri July 5 at 2137, WBCQ-6 obviously the antique music of `Behaviour Night` which is scheduled this hour on 7490.1v --- also there but *not* // and not synchronized, VP with line noise level cutting on and off, mostly on. I continue listening to 9330 for next announcement saying he is commemorating the birthday of Bix Beiderbecke, March 10, 1903 --- so this episode is obviously an archived one from March of some year --- if an exact match, it could not be 2019 since March 10 was on a Sunday. Presumably the barely audible episode on 7490.1v is a ``new`` one. 9330.00, July 5 at 2200 goes into another oldie show, giving frequency as ``7.415``, two hyper DJs but no title heard. 7490 sounds like Brother Scare now as usual during this weekday hour. Soon there is to be a lot more of him on 7490.1v, filling ``all`` unsold time, since he can no longer be on 9330.1v at all (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 5085, July 5 at 0541, WTWW-2 again with `Pete Santilli Show` of far-right talk. Recheck at 0600, ``WJNL News`` ID and bong before some network news. I thought the Michigan ARE Tipsheet would be interested in this, but despite my numerous previous logs of this almost nightly since June 24, no notice of WJNL; no MAREs reported it either nor anybody I can find since then. notable by their absence, not even JBA carriers from the mostly off-frequency ZYs. Nor 11780 which I assume is off now, tho regularly active earlier. The others seem to be disappearing from the ether one by one. Or: curtailed skeds, and/or péssima propagação, as Carlos Gonçalves, Portugal has reported all these except 9725 and 11856 in late June at other dayparts; plus also 9515, 9550 and 11895 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 6000, July 7 at 0132, RHC is suptorted S9+20/30, JBM, but I can recognize it`s Arnie ending his other show `Breakthru`. If anyone ever hear it again, be sure to report; nominal sked was 0030-0400 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** IRAN. 7260, July 7 at 0140 tune-in to music on AM, then a bit of dead air and off, so I wonder if it`s an ham screwing around; until I uplook 7260 in EiBi to find Iran in Spanish to Caribbean listed during this hour. Lawless nation: ¿what are they doing broadcasting inside the 40m hamband into our Hemisphere? 11660, July 7 at 0149 tune-in, convenient ID immediately in Spanish for VRII, poor-fair S4-S7. HFU guys report it still going at 0240. First pirate I`ve heard in quite some time except for YHWH (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** TURKEY. 11980, July 6 at 0529, VOT is S9+10/S8, so despite my previous comment, would be enough to enjoy some music, except it`s all Turkish talk now, and somewhat muffled (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. Also confirmed UT Sun July 7 at 0130 on WRMI 5850, S9+40/50, yet can still hear some nearby lightning crashes from SE Kansas if not West Texas. Fill music overlaps my introduxion, and even more of it overlaps my outroduxion just before 0159. Next broadcast may not be, as at 0158 I am getting no signal on 1860 kHz AM from WA0RCR, Wentzville MO; still no signal at 0328 when WOR would be playing; despite S9+10 high local noise level, I can still detect an LSB ham on 1940 kHz. Getting to be a habit in the hour before AAAWWW, but presumably not any more once the flat-earthers take over. 9330.00, UT Saturday July 6 at 0000, WBCQ-6 starting `Angela and Allan Weiner WorldWide` with Wm. Tell Ov., says quadricasting on all 4 frequencies, but no point in my bothering with the other three. Now I am hearing slight overmodulation/distortion for the first time on this bigsig --- need to back off the mod level just a tad, or as kvz would say, a titch. I`m otherwise busy so leave it to our correspondent in mid-north Indiana, John H. Carver, Jr.: Tonight's show started about a minute early after a couple minutes of fill music with voiceovers by Allan. Listening on 9330 this evening. Allan and Angela in the studio complaining about the heat in Maine. Angela is half naked according to Allan and he ended up taking his shirt off. Freddie is on the phone by 0007. Talk of heat, 4th of July, mowing grass and tractors. Allan and Angela were off last week for an antique auto tour. Freddie off the phone at 0036 allowing Tony Straka to phone in. Allan says WLC will start broadcasting on Monday and so next week they will be turning the antenna to hit different areas of the world. Phone call from Freddie again at 0043 asking Allan if he could run an episode of Trailer Trash Radio over the superstation. Allan says he will have to find the old tapes, have someone transfer one to a CD so it could be broadcast on the new transmitter and would have to be done this weekend as WLC starts Monday. Reading of emails at 0048 and a phone call from Larry Will after the first email stating that he had access to the Trailer Trash tapes and could transfer the episode that Freddie wants to the station. More email at 0053 and immediately another phone call. Back to email and phone call at 0056. Back to email. Automation cuts Allan off at 0100 and then fades down and Allan is faded up again. Closing prayer at 0101. Program was off the air at 0104`` At 0440 recheck I notice that 9330.00 is playing VORW. 9330.00, Sat July 6 around 2100 not on yet, but at 2207, unfamiliar DJ is playing tunes he says are all from YouTube videos (so no copyright concerns?), billed as ``WBCQ Shakedown Cruise``. Nice eclectic selexion including ``Guantanamera`` at 2221. Too-quick closing at 2259 gave name and website neither of which I could catch; and 2300 into another TimTron giving today`s date (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 5830, July 6 at 1941, yet again WTWW-1 is on night frequency in the day, S7-S8 seems dead air, but straining, I think I can hear it JBM. Nothing on 9475. By 2232 recheck, 9475 has finally come up with SFAW. 5085, Sat July 6 at 2335, WTWW-2 starts `Theatre Organ in the Ozarx` only five minutes late, and lasts only 28 minutes! until 2403. After Bob Heil`s opening, no further announcements heard, just continuous music, which of course I am really enjoying in $tereo on webcast (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 7505, July 7 at 0142, S9+35 of dead air from WRNO. Their live air never has anything worth listening to anyway (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 1210, July 7 at 0329 UT, ad for something in Mackinaw City, so it`s surely still WJNL in Traverse City market, dominant now over KGYN even on the east-west longwire. Prompted by my inquiry, Don Hosmer now reports it to the WOR iog: ``I live 60 miles east and just south of WJNL's Kingsley xmtr site. I am hearing the Jim Bohannon show from 0315 to present 7/06 on 1210 kHz. I get a fair signal using my directional W6LVP loop aimed at Kingsley. But on my longwire and G5RV dipoles, co-channel Philadelphia station WPHT (IDed at 0355) overpowers WJNL. No sign of their sister station WJML 1110 kHz which is a 10 KW daytimer vs. WJNL's 50 KW. I don't regularly listen to MW and can't tell if they are stronger than in the past. Don Hosmer, W8SWL, West Branch MI USA`` Thanks, Don; from your obs, and my sufficient but not strong receptions, WJNL may not be running the full 50 kW ND at night; maybe the 2.5 kW critical-hours power which they should be using anyway before sundown sign-off [non] and after sunrise sign-on [non] (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) UNIDENTIFIED. 6151.5-USB, July 7 at 0134, weak 2-way INTRUDERS in Spanish. Amazngly, at this time no broadcast signals are to be heard on 49m band between 6070 CFRX and JBA carrier on 6155, which would be Zahedan, Iran in Arabic until 0230 (and I see in EiBi, immediately followed by BBC in Farsi for an hour via Uzbekistan; what a coincidence) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) see also IRAN This report despatched at 0407 UT July 7

Glenn Hauser logs July 8-9, 2019
Glenn Hauser
** CUBA. 6100, July 9 at 0606, RHC English with VG modulation, and
signal S9+20; while only // left, 6165, is incomparably worse, S8-S3 and undermodulated, unreadable. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** NIGERIA. 7254.9, July 9 at 0602, VON is back here and big S9+10/20 in Hausa. Wolfgang Bueschel says this rotatable antenna is stuck aimed toward North America, lucky us. 11769.9, July 9 at 2041, JBA carrier, signature off-frequency of VON, presumably running until about 2100 (Glenn Hauser, OK,, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** OKLAHOMA. RF 13-2, July 9 at 1616 UT, PBS World via KETA, during Christiane Amanpour & Co., blasting interruption for EAS test ``as required``, but before program audio resumes, we hear a minute of a horribly modulated commercial for Capital One! The system is relaying some station which is *not* doing the test, or maybe already finished it (Glenn Hauser, Enid, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 9330.00, I have left a receiver on here most of the day July 8, the target date for World`s Last Chance to take over WBCQ-6, but nothing heard except occasional traces of Brother Scare on the old 9330.1v transmitter. Finally #6 cuts on abruptly at *2322 with AW`s quick canned ID, and into praise? music in Spanish; more music with ID at 2335. Is this WLC yet? Not quite. WLC just started at 0000 UT July 9, British accents, not Egyptian. It should not be necessary to cut the transmitter while the antenna is being rotated (unlike other antenna switching), but there was a break at 0355:20 to 0356:55 during their music span. It`s pretty clearly not multilingual changing every hour as originally planned and on the WLC website; yet, another group just posted that schedule as if it were correct. So far since 0000 it`s all been English, right? I did hear a minute or two of openings and wonder if they are playing the same English hour over and over? I have paid very little attention to their nonsense, but they want to be sure we are prepared, for ``the end is near``! They also make a big deal of the ``correct`` names for their god and offspring. Observer has this which must have been about WLC, but did anyone ever hear 9330 in Arabic any time in June? Maybe now we will find them going from English to Arabic at 0800 and all the way to 2300? This came out of HFCC. ``WBCQ-6 The Planet, Monticello, TEST in June 2019 0300-0700 on 9330 BCQ 500 kW / 280 deg to WNAm English 0700-0800 on 9330 BCQ 500 kW / 047 deg to WeEu English 0800-1500 on 9330 BCQ 500 kW / 060 deg to N/ME Arabic 1500-2300 on 9330 BCQ 500 kW / 090 deg to NoAf Arabic 2300-0300 on 9330 BCQ 500 kW / 255 deg to MEXI English`` Also, is 7490 now running 24 hours with BS at ``all unsold time`` as AW promised? I really meant ``all-night`` except for the WWCR hours. I would not expect any change there. Anyhow, 7490 WBCQ was not on late at night with BS or anything, as of 0600, nor during the daytime when it`s JBA if at all. Assuming now 9330.00 be always 500 kW as WLC requires, signal weakens greatly --- super-power cannot overcome propagation! By 0600 July 9, I can tell it`s still 9300.00 but JBA! At 0625 up a little at S1-S5 to tell it`s WLC English. Probably did switch to Arabic at 0800; my next check at 1232 finds it now in Arabic, S8-S3, nowhere near the signal we used to get during tests aimed thisaway, so the rotating direxional antenna must be very effective, i.e. not wasting signal off the back. After 1440 and various daytime chex, it remains VP here in Arabic; at 2034, rating only S3-S5, while nearest neighbor SW station 9265 WINB is slightly better S4-S6, and no comparison to WWCR blasting on 9350 and 9980. Maybe WBCQ-6 will blast again itself changing back to English thisaway at 2300? Meanwhile, Kai Ludwig in the WOR iog has found more interesting background about World`s Last Chance and its founder: ``It appears that Galal Doss remained in Egypt not so completely unnoticed as elsewhere: http://www.orthodox-christian-comment.co.uk/curiosities-seventhdayadventist&egyptchrstians.htm https://atoday.org/is-the-new-president-of-egypt-an-adventist/ And he not just calls the pope an antichrist, in 2005 he made a really cute prophecy: http://www.remnantofgod.org/GalalDoss-FalseProphet.htm Someone with a bit more time to spend could also check if a first impression is correct: That Doss could be a bad Antisemite. By the way, it seems that Doss is a mere three years younger than Stair. Kai Ludwig`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 7570, July 9 at 2043, JBA carrier vs S9 local line noise level, and no signals on 7730 or 7780. Must be WRMI: yes, websked revised to show it with APS Radio, 14-23 UT Tuesday and Thursday only! How odd. Aimed right at us 315 degrees, but useless in summer daytime. Maybe makes it to Mississippi? 9455 is also on with VP signal and that too is sked as APS, in this case M-F 2000-2200 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 5830 & 5935, July 9 at 0608, both Nashvillians WTWW and WWCR are inaudible, so both off the air? How about lower? 4840 WWCR is still S9+20/30 with BS and so is // 3215. Maybe a very sharp MUF cutoff around 5 MHz? (Glenn Hauser, OK, D LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A [and non]. 9470, July 9 at 1355, WEWN into ``Salve Regina`` with heavy CCI in Chinese, soon uncovered completely as WEWN is finished with English until the afternoon. CNR1 jamming/RTI (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 1210, July 9 at 0559 UT, tune in just in time to hear ToH break, from ``Reality Radio`` to multi-AM/FM station ID including WJNL and mention of Mackinaw City, as the 50 kW daytimer in Kingsley MI continues its all-night cheating since first heard here June 24. At first dominant, must have been during a KGYN fade which soon comes back up during sportstalk (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) UNIDENTIFIED. 9379.577, July 9 at 1235, open carrier fading S4-S2, so not a local device. Probably the same one Rick Barton, AZ reported as 9380, July 1 at 0815-0915 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) This report dispatched at 2212 UT July 9

** CUBA. 6100, July 10 at 0602, RHC English is S9+40 and splashing out
to plus/minus 15 kHz. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 13740, July 11 at 0130, surprised that the BST-1 caradio memory stops here at RHC Spanish. I think this frequency has been off air evenings for a long time. It`s not in Aoki or EiBi, Aoki does not even show the morning broadcast at 11-14. RHC`s own website http://www.radiohc.cu/interesantes/frecuencias still shows the B-18 sked! When 13740 was for Buenos Aires at 22-05. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 7365 & 7335, July 11 at 0548, wall of noise jamming and hardly a trace of Radios Martís; usually RM is way over jamming here, but auroral conditions must be taking out Grimesland NC way up north (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 6100, July 11 at 0550, RHC English is S9+30 but undermodulated, and the carrier is cutting out rapidly and irregularly. Something`s always wrong at RHC. 6165 is S9 but JBM; 6000 is S9+10 and undermodulated; 5040 is S9+20/30, good modulation except for some hum, but cuts off early at 0553*. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 15370.0, July 11 at 2222, RHC Spanish is S9 but JBM; at least it`s not off-frequency today! Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** MALI. 13640, July 11 at 2224, undermodulated weak S8-S9 talk, presumably French as scheduled for sporadically active CRI Bamako relay, and off at 2227* (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENNG DIGEST) ** OKLAHOMA. 1140, July 10 at 1255 UT, KRMP OKC with W&M talkshow, and as I bandscan down, hear the same conversation a few seconds later on 1050, presumably KGTO Tulsa. Then they split for some different PSAs and ads on 1050. Both are sloganned ``Heart & Soul`` apparently some syndicated service, and so is the other 1050, KXCA Lawton, weaker and further but which previously I have heard echoing against KGTO. By 1302 UT, 1140 & 1050 are // again but in music (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A [and non]. Much weaker signal during Arabic eastward compared to English westward. Schedule we had from HFCC showed changing to English at 2300, but there is no transmission break before then and indeed after the ``IS``, looping slightly over one minute, heavy on the dramatic cellos (could someone identify where this music came from?), one more hour in Arabic after AW`s quick legal ID in English. By 2354 has built up to only S8-S9; off at 2355* for antenna rotation, back on at *2358:45 now S9+20 with IS; 0000 opening English, after YL apocalyptic intro as via ``Montichello``, the two British guys co-hosting with informal-sounding banter; one is Dave Wright, the other Miles something. They don`t sound like they are looney tunes. But starting with correct nomenclature advisory for deities, etc. At 0556 recheck, no signal at all, perhaps still on but not propagating. Super-power cannot overcome uncooperative MUFs! 9330, July 10 at 2353, good but not super signal, off-mike Arabic speech from echoey venue, distortion fades. 2356:25 change to IS and WBCQ ID once,, off at 2357*, 2358:30 attempts to cut back on but off again; finally back to stay at *2400:35, JIP bigsig English already in progress as UT July 11 starts. By 0553 recheck, down to a JBA carrier; 1326 rerecheck, no signal detectable vs noise level of only S2. Others have now reported that it went off just before 0800 when Arabic should have resumed, and further reports find it missing from 9330 all day July 11. I check UTwente SDR at 1818 and all I hear is OTH radar clicking(?). At 1820 on my own, still no signal. By 2303 has finally come on with Arabic, poor S9/S9+10. Finally at *2359:30 cuts on English bigsig again. Meanwhile, HFCC as of July 11 shows quite a different 500 kW schedule for WBCQ, still Arabic and English only, but times jumbled, and even some new frequencies as yet unconfirmed; it`s backdated as from 24 May, obviously imaginary: 15180 07-10 Arabic 75 degrees 11705 10-12 Arabic 75 degrees 9330 12-16 English 255 degrees 9330 16-18 English 300 degrees 9330 18-20 English 57 degrees 9330 20-07 Arabic 75 degrees (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1990, DX LISTENING DIGEST) Guess what: languages are 12 hours displaced from original schedule: bet someone mixedup am and pm! (gh) ** U S A. 5085, July 10 at 0603, WTWW-2 poor S8-S9 with flutter in music, so is the Pete Santilli far-right talk show gone again? Propagation is degraded: 5830 WTWW-1 and 5935 WWCR are JBA carriers at 0604 July 10, also displaying Doppler flutter. 4840 WWCR is slightly better, merely poor, also with Doppler; while 3215 WWCR remains OK, VG at S9+10. Lowest band holds up when highers do not. 24 hours later, July 11 at 0553, propagation is still disturbed: Now 5085 is a JBA carrier as well as 5830 and 5935; 4840 is S9+10/20 but not solid (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 12050, July 11 at 1330, WEWN carrier is cutting off the air quite accurately once per second. So we hear Spanish talk only in bits when it`s on, but JBA at S7. By 1402 has become OK (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1990, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 1130, July 10 at 2258 UT, KLEY Wellington KS is still off the air as it has been since at least May 3; have checked it maybe once or twice a week since then. Its 250 watts daytime used to make it just fine to Enid, despite direxional-north pattern. Now there is no doubt whatsoever, since I am driving right by KLEY a few miles south of Wellington, circa 60th street SE, on the east side of US 81. Now all signage has been removed and no cars or indication of any habitation. There are still two towers of different heights for its ex-direxional day pattern; and about half a dozen big ugly dishes on the south side of the small whitewashed building. So I tune to 100.3 and there it is! With rock music and late 2302 UT ID as ``KLEY 1130-AM and K262CQ 100.3 FM, Wellington``; plenty of local ads, and 2304 UT, ``The Wave, 100.3 and 1130, from the Wheat Capital of the World``, and some music by Prince. But, but, how can a silent AM station have an FM translator??? Announcing 1130 does not make it so, duh. And I`ve already explained how Enid is the Wheat Capital, not little Wellington. Perhaps FCC has not been notified? There is nothing at AM Query about Facility 31895 being silent. At night it might as well be, with 0.001 kW power. Long live KWKH! (Glenn Hauser, KS, DX LISTENING DIGEST) UNIDENTIFIED. 9380+, July 11 at 1321, very poor RTTY; one peak seems about 9380.9; maybe the same OC mystery previously on minus side of 9380 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) This report dispatched at 0208 UT July 12

** BRAZIL. 11855.749, July 12 at 0533, JBA talk, S1-S2, obviously the
always off-frequency R. Aparecida. Next check at 1206 I remeasure it at 11855.754 (11780 RNA is also audible now) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CHINA. 9255, July 12 at 1328, VP talk in Chinese? Aoki/NDXC shows this as a *jammed Sound of Hope frequency. No others noticed in this area (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA [and non]. 7435, July 12 at 1152, pulse jamming vs weak Chinese talk, i.e. CRI eastward from Beijing during this hour. Radio Martí is on 7435 only at 03-05 UT: the incompetent DentroCuban Jamming Command lets it run anyway, Commies vs Commies! (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 13739.243, July 12 at 1258, RHC is only S5-S7 here, and once again knocked itself way off-frequency, 1301 ID; while // 13700.0 has just come on much stronger, S9+20. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** OKLAHOMA [and non]. 1319.959, July 12 at 1220 UT, low audible het caused by KCLI Clinton always off-frequency, beating against something I really can`t null, probably KLWN Lawrence KS approx. opposite direxion. With both nulled I get some music, but I am really looking for KWHN Fort Smith AR which is news/talk, since the July/August MW News reported from UK: ``NORTH AMERICAN NEWS --- 1320 KWHN Fort Smith, AZ ]sic] – operating at reduced power (1 kW vs licensed 5 kW) from a longwire antenna due to flooding, also affecting 950 KFSA which is silent`` Just how much power can a longwire tolerate? I do not measure KCLI until 1543 UT when there is no confusing QRM. The MW Offset list shows relatively recent data, but no KWHN: http://mwlist.org/mwoffset.php?khz=1320 1319.9615 KCLI (Clinton, OK) 2018-01-23 1319.9947 KLWN (Lawrence, KS) 2018-01-23 i.e. 33.2 Hz apart, but KLWN off-frequency-minus itself by 5.3 Hz; while my measurement of KCLI puts it 41 Hz below exact 1320.000 (Glenn Hauser, Enid, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** OKLAHOMA. RF 34, July 12 at 1354 UT, KMYT-TV 41-1 Tulsa is intermittently decoding, as Hepburn tropo map forecast for 15 UT shows Enid in a fair/level 2 band, Tulsa in moderate/level 3. A number of other Bad VHF/UHF signals, such as somewhat decoding on RF 21, KUOT OKC at 1410; but I stick with this one exploring its subs: 41-1 is MyTV – no surprise 41-2 is GetTv 41-3 is GritTV 41-4 is HNI per PSIP, but H&I per bugs mostly in the LR corner; it stands for Heroes & Icons, a channel we don`t get from OKC. 1400 UT starting `High Chaparral`. Pro arte, I snap a number of DTV pixel breakups on 41-4, such as: http://www.w4uvh.net/KMYT1.jpg http://www.w4uvh.net/KMYT2.jpg http://www.w4uvh.net/KMYT3.jpg http://www.w4uvh.net/KMYT4.jpg (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 9330.00, July 12 at 0526, WBCQ-6 with WLC Radio is holding up tonight, still VG S9 to S9+10. Next chex starting at 1200 find NO signal on 9330, nor at 1542. As I mentioned in previous report, revised HFCC sked appears to be 12 hours out of whack. So if we don`t hear 9330 at 19-24 UT, we should instead look for Arabic on 15180 at 19-22 and 11705 at 22-24. That makes a lot more sense propagationally than starting 15180 at 2 am EST in Maine! 7490+v, July 12 at 1151, no signal from WBCQ (or WWCR yet). No sign yet of WBCQ putting Brother Scare on this transmitter at ``all unsold times``, since the other apocalyptix at WLC have pushed him off 9330+v. I wonder if he will be shoehorned into various `open` hour or half-hour slots during the existing briefer span, instead of AAAWWW playbax, etc. (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 530, July 10 when visiting Wichita, no signals heard there or around South Haven from the Kansas Turnpike Authority`s TIS relaying Wichita NOAA Weather Radio. The FCC TIS list does not find it (or never?) and it`s the very bottom entry in this long roster http://www.mwlist.org/mwlist_quick_and_easy.php?area=3&kHz=530 since no callsign was known for it. With `K530AM` Vance AFB still silent, on a quiet day we ought to be able to detect something from nearby Kansas if any exist (Glenn Hauser, KS, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 1190, July 12 at 1215 UT, ``69 degrees at our studios in Beloit``, i.e. KVSV, U4 2300/90 watts should now be on day power, immediately overcome by EWTN promos, from further KDMR Kansas City MO, U2 5000/500. KVSV in north-central Kansas, pattern is circle tangent direxional to NW, not very good for us to the south, while KDMR is ND (Keep Doting on Maria Regina --- what else could it mean?) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) This report despatched at 1710 UT July 12
