** CUBA. 13771 & 13629 approx., March 13 at 1503, extremely distorted
spurblobs from RHC 13700-AM. At first there is no recognizable program
audio. By 1523 there is a bit in FM or AM tuning, the F# tone more
evident in AM. Also then found second-order blobs circa 13558 & 13842,
i.e. plus and minus 71 and 142 kHz. Something`s always wrong at RHC.
But not this, when checked March 10, 11 or 12 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 9690, Fri March 12 at 2300, REE S9+15/40, not off the air,
with timesignal only about 0.5 second later than WWV, Spanish ID and
opening token English. This time Alison Hughes presents a show about
the Teatro Real producing, despite the pandemic, `Siegfried`, part of
Wagner`s Ring cycle. Bits of music and interviews with several people
involved in the opera from singer to conductor, producer, some in
Spanish only. At 2310 one of them could not resist comparing the
concept of the Ring, quest for Godlike power at the ruination of
mankind and the planet, to Trump (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U K [non]. 6135, March 13 at 0628, French mentioning ``Afrique``
just before 0629*; HFCC shows 0600- BBC via VATICAN to CIRAF 37, which
is Iberia, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia. Also with a LAH, probably from
always off-frequency Aparecida, Brasil (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Saturday March 13 from 1325 until music start at 1329, JBA 15770 WRMI;
nothing readable but sounds like my intonation for the 1300
broadcast.

Also confirmed Sat Mar 13 at 1700 on WRN North America webcast, after
FSN headlines. I think this will stay at UT 1700 for the rest of March

** U S A. 7490v & 6160v, UT Sat Mar 13 at 0100, a T-storm is passing
thru Enid, which means the computer is disconnected as is the main SW
antenna; while the WBCQ signals are too weak vs the noise level to
follow `AAAWWW` using the indoor longwire. A bit came thru at 0159
when it seemed to run overtime past 0200. So this week only John
Carver`s summary:

``AAWWW --- Tonight's show started on time on 7490 and a few seconds
later on 6160. Allan and Angela still in Maine. Immediately after the
theme music stopped, a rant about cancel culture started. Topics
covered included children's cartoons, Uncle Ben, children's books,
Aunt Jemima, the Land O'Lakes Indian, etc., and then morphed into the
gender wars. Discussion was interrupted at 0122 by a phone call from
Kracker but he continued the discussion and the discussion ran until
0150 when Allan started reading emails. First off was the new Free
Radio Weekly. Quick closing prayer at 0200. Program was off the air at
0202. John, Mid-North Indiana`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
