You cannot. The only other option would be Helvetica, but that would merge several characters. Not only capital i and lowercase ell, but also several phonetic symbols.
If you have a use case for it, please let me know.

Still asking -How can we affect the font that Praat chooses by default to display
text in the TextGridEditor?
In our case, the font issue comes up in the context of fieldwork on Oklahoma Cherokee. The Cherokee speakers we are working with tend to dislike the font that the Mac picks by default to display Cherokee syllabary characters in Praat. See the attached screenshot. Among other issues, this font makes some characters easy to confuse, e.g. the Ꭷ /ka/ character looks too much like Ꮼ /wo/. This is a frequent source of confusion, and something that could be solved if we were able to get Praat to use a different font. There are other fonts out there that are easier to read and that are more widely used in the community. Thanks, Chris is --
OK, that's a clear problem. It has nothing to do with the Times vs. Helvetica problem, which affects IPA symbols, but with the platform's fall-back font, which can be sub-optimal for some languages.
Is there a font that shows both Cherokee and English characters well? That is, ideally we would want to use the same font for both, as your TextGrid has both Cherokee and English. If you can tell me which font(s) will look well for Cherokee, I can experiment
on my side and figure out a solution.
best wishes,
Paul
