Each year I print the MGB and GT calendar.

I need additional submissions of photos for the 2020 calendar. The perfect submission size is 3600x2700 pixels pulled directly from the camera without processing, cropping or any photoshop type enhancement.

I am looking for racing photos, images of rebuilds in progress, or any fun shots that have not been submitted in previous years and embody the experience of owning an MGB. Perfect cars are not necessary but the emphasis is always on the car, the additional content of the photo cannot overwhelm the car. For instance, if the photo is about the people, a dog, or the location,  it is not about the MGB!

Photos should be submitted as soon as possible.

By submitting a photo you assign reproduction and distribution rights to MGBcalendar for future use without restriction.

Individual copies may be purchased from www.MGBCalendar.com for $20 (USD) which includes delivery almost anywhere. The Calendar is shipped to arrive by Christmas each year..

I have owned the B for about 30 years - always garage kept.  No rust, Red, looks good.  Only drove it on nice Summer days

Only issue is a recent problem -- clutch is loose, goes to the floor -- I am not sure what is wrong...have not had a chance to have mechanic look at.

I live in Havertown, PA

For those of you not headed to the Glen on Sept 7... SAVE THE DATE!

Phila MG Club member Kevin McLemore's Archbishop Wood High School will be hosting their 3rd annual "Wheels at Wood Car & Craft Show" on September 7, 2019. Held at the school @ York & Street Roads, Warminster, it will benefit the school's robotics team, The Fighting RoboVikings, who were finalists in this year's FIRST World Championship. This year we will again feature *TWO* LIVE MUSIC SHOWS, including jazz/swing music by the amazing Doylestown Heat Big Band, and classic rock by guitarists extraordinaire Thom Galie & Bill Monahan. There will also be great food, a craft show & sale, a beer wall raffle, gift basket raffles, a supercar display, and live demos of the team's competition robot, "Project Valkyrie".

Judging categories will include a special one for British cars, in addition to the usual marque categories. If clubs with 3-or-more registered cars request, we will set up a special judging category & trophies just for their cars (ex: Phila MG Club, Delaware Valley Triumphs, Corvette Club, Road Angles CC, etc.). If you are interested in registering your car, truck or motorcycle for the show, or setting up a special judged group, or renting a craft table, please contact us at wheelsatwood@.... Show opens at 9:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm. Rain date is September 8th, same times. Admission is free. Car registrations are $20.00 before August 31.

Drive Train For Sale

Now here’s a deal you won’t see very often. I have a complete 1500 5 speed drive train for sale. The engine is a recently rebuilt 1500 with .010 oversized flat top pistons, for that higher compression ratio. Also added to this tweaked engine is a Schumacher 276 mild cam. Does cause a little lope at idle. For air flow there is a downdraft Weber on a Pierce manifold and steel headers. The engine has less than 2000 miles on it. Bolted neatly to the back of this engine is a rebuilt Ford T9 tranny from a Ford Sierra. The tranny was rebuilt in England and sourced to Frontline and I had it shipped from England. I have been driving that tranny for about 10 years and it has around 8000 miles. Including one trip up Mt Washington. It’s a complete drivetrain, from new radiator to drive line. It’s a bit heavy so it is a Pickup Only item. Drivetraiin is conveniently wrapped in a 1978 Midget that has a bent quarter panel and rear clip. You can drive it home.

Complete Drivetrain for only $3500. Compare that to Moss Motors tranny only conversion kit for $3895. Its like getting a more powerful engine for free. All offers considered.

MG Dartboard for sale

Theresa and I won this for winning the LBC PA Rallye in Tamaqua a few years back. We never had any place to hang it so it is pristine and the dartboard is still wrapped in plastic. It’s a classic British Pub style dartboard with the MG logo. There is one set of darts in the case, and one extra set with 2 pairs of fletchs. One American flag and one British flag.

We are asking $45. I need a commitment by Wednesday PM, or it goes in an auction on Thursday. I can bring it to the GT on the 11th.

Also a National Jaguar Concours event where you will see ers looking better than they came off the showroom floor.
 
You name a British car, and you will see it / many there.
 
As many of you know, we live 5 minutes from the GT / Phil’s.
 
After the show, everyone is welcome at our house.  
 
The pool and BBQ will be open.  Music playing, beer, soda, water and popsicles.
 
Casual… nothing formal.  We have tons of chairs and towels.
 
Even if it rains, we have a huge outdoor awning / patio where you can be outside overlooking the garden and stay dry.
 
Bring your swimsuit along.
