E6s 6028 Breaking In
Doug Kisala <dougkisala@...>
Hello lists, Using three different decal sets, I gave my unlettered Broadway Limited HO scale E6s a Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines identity. The real 6028 was PRSL's last passenger steam engine (built for the West Jersey & Seashore in 1914), lasting until late in 1951. I am curious when she last ran in revenue service. The unlettered model comes with a Keystone number plate in place, but includes a replacement round number plate in a small bag. I used BLI's plate, which I thought was easier than adapting Cal-Scale's round number plates. I used Champ's BRH-45 set for the tender tank lettering and cab side lettering. I used a Tichy numberboard set (10391, a bit large, but workable) for the headlight side numbers, and Microscale's 87-1166 for the round number plate (not visible in the photo). Doug Kisala |
