American Redstart at Gilman Park



Around 11:30AM this morning, Doug Willick found the female-type American redstart at Gilman. I was fortunate to be in the same area when he found the bird. The bird was moving about in the trees (upper mid level to just about 6' below the tops). It would often fly short distances to continue foraging in nearby trees. Another birder, Shawn Nielsen, was also present and got several looks at the bird.
