Ronald L. Small, 86, of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022, at the EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville, Ohio.
He was born on October 5, 1936, in Darke County, to the late Oscar and Myrtle (Oswalt) Small.

Ron is survived by his wife of 62 years, Judy (Hoover) Small, whom he married on July 9, 1960; his daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and John Guttadore of Arcanum, Ohio; his grandson, Graham Guttadore of Arcanum; his siblings, Barbara McGee of Covington, Ohio, Deloris Riegle of Greenville, Beverly (Kenneth) Rismiller of Bradford, Ohio, and James (Marie) Small of Beavercreek, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, James McGee.

Ron worked for the University of Dayton as their Superintendent of HVAC and Electrical Departments for over 35 years. He also served his country honorably in the United States Army. Ron was a member of the Arcanum VFW, was a past Master of the Masonic Lodge in Arcanum and was a current member of the Greenville Masonic Lodge. In his free time, Ron enjoyed golfing, collecting firearms, going fishing, and photography. He also liked building and flying his model airplanes and was a wonderful carpenter and woodworker.

A celebration of Ron's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. Burial will follow in Ithaca Cemetery.

Family and friends may visit on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home in Greenville.
