On flickr I have illustrated old and faded specimens of Speyeria atlantis hollandi plus a few fresh ones, shot soon after capture.
Here are a couple of 'intermediate'-age specimens; collected in 2013 and imaged 7 years later. Apparently it takes more than a few years for them to turn into faded museum relics ---
