An old geezer butterfly

While spending some time on iNaturalist this morning; I ran into this old geezer butterfly.
An incredibly worn and beat up American False Comma aka Compton Tortoiseshell
I don't recall ever encountering any nymphalid butterfly in such an ancient and tattered
condition. Comparison of a more 'normal' aged individual with a fresh one is here:
