Most good variant enter to bootload:
- Power off
- Hold right button (if RF connectors up)
- Power on
- Connect to device by nanoVNA-App or QT, and software ask flash it (select correct firmware and wait, in rare cases on errors need just reflash it)

Now device in bootload mode and allow flash firmware (you can do this if device bricked, but bootloader not damaged)

If there is any place where you can get the help needed it is here in this forum. Your first problem is the screen problem. That should be fixed before you try anything else.
Our units are very much alike, I also have the V2_2 but my serial # is a little bit higher than yours. So as the Flashing worked perfectly ok for me, you should ( AFTER THE SCREEN ISSUE IS FIXED) have no problems. As I said I was very much afraid of flashing the unit but it worked perfectly ok and I am now glad I updated the unit.
Ask for help here in the forum, if anyone can give you good advice it is the folks here.

I've never been able to flash mine in DFU mode (white screen). It's been a while but if I recall correctly, I get a USB error. I've tried installing the Cypress USB driver.

I use the menus to reboot into the bootloader.
CONFIG
EXPERT
MORE
BOOTLOAD
RESET AND ENTER

Then I use the NanoVNA-App to flash.

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to ALL who contributed to this thread. I bought the NanaVNA SAA-2N a good year ago... but was afraid for my life to touch the firmware. Finally summoned the courage and just now updated the firmware. YIPEEE... it worked !
I was mentally prepared to see a fully "bricked" VNA in my hands, but instead... it works like a dream. Am very very grateful to ALL who contributed to this thread. Folks... the importance of good docs and "step by step" instructions for RAW novices like me cannot be stressed enough.
With help of you guys on this very forum i even managed to Get Joe Smiths NANOVNA SOLVER 64 running. To say that I am happy is an understatement. An especially big thank you to the firmware author and the person who wrote the user ops guide.

in dfu mode the comport number may change ... but thats all

besides nanovna-qt you also can use nanovna_app (prefered soft here)

works superb with nano vna and also does recognize if device is in fw upgrade mode ... select file and you are good to go :-)

easier to use and has more options

Hardest part was figuring how to actually put the device on DFU mode. The on screen command to do so looked like it was in DFU mode but failed to work. I found the correct way in another group.
