Blank space left at bottom after "edit fields displayed"

I've been using AC Log for maybe 4 years.  I love the support Scott gives to his users.

Ultimately I would like a very simple screen.  Like a contest mode.  Call/Date/Mode/Time of the current call being worked and then like the last 10 in the log.  That's it.  I want to shrink the window down to fit on a small screen

I have been adjusting the blue boxes.  Getting rid of the ones I don't want.  However there is a blank spot left behind where those boxes used to be.  It seems to be fixed.  I resize the window and the program keeps that blank spot.  I don't want any wasted space so that's why I am trying to put as much info as I can in the window and that blank space isn't helping.

One suggestion in the Facebook group was if I was using DX spot.  It is turned off and I've never used it but it make sense like the program is reserving the space for something.

I've been through all the other settings to see what might be available to change this but I am coming up with nothing so thought I'd ask the experts!

Pic attached to show the space I want to eliminate.

Have you tried to “RESIZE” the main window to push the data entry area lower?

Hi Marshall,

Thanks for your e-mail.  You don't need to worry about sizing for DX Spotting.  Any controls you place on the form will scale down automatically to accommodate the DX Spots list when enabled.

The short answer is that while the form itself is scalable, in that you can change the size, the controls will scale proportionally as well, so if you leave blank space during design time, that space will persist and scale also.

I'm sorry that I didn't have the answer that you were hoping for.

Enjoy!

Mike...  thanks!  that was it.  I scaled the mail window up and it took up more of the blank space.

I played with that setting before.  However, my lack of attention to detail didn't see the decimal!  I was entering 10 or 90 thinking it was a whole number % of the window.  Not 0.10 or 0.90.  So when I saw that mistake it made the effect I wanted.

I appreciate the help!

Scott...  thanks.  I have my answer and now have it setup as I had intended.  I knew the answer was embedded in the menu somewhere.  I just entered the scaling factor wrong the first time!
