Hi Ken,

Thanks for your e-mail.  TQSL performs the actual upload, not AC Log.  This FAQ will get you going:

I have observed some puzzling behavior when trying to upload from
Amateur Contact Log to LoTW. I select eLogs/LoTW/upload contacts not
already uploaded. TQSL is started and I supply my certificate password
and the QSOs are uploaded. During the next hour or so I will work
another 6 stations. Once again I will select eLogs/LoTW/upload contacts
not already uploaded. TQSL will warn me that I am trying to upload 30
duplicate contacts and 6 new contacts. I will be presented 3 buttons
asking me what to do. I can upload duplicate contacts, I can only upload
the new contacts or cancel and not upload anything.

Why is ACL attempting to upload contacts that have already been
uploaded?

Re: OhQP SW question

Ken Gunther

That depends on what the exchange data should be. If the data should be section then it is MDC, if it should be the state/province then it is MD.

Hi All,

The change was from MDC to MD:

I have updated the software accordingly and this change will be reflected in the next release.

Thanks again for the heads up!

Enjoy!

I sent a message to Scott on Saturday as I had the same
issue. Copied him with the info from ohqp site that shows some abbreviations changed. MD is now MDC. He said it would be changed for next year.

Re: Fldigi and Ohio Qso Party

Hi Robert,

Thanks for your follow up.  Just for clarification, there is nothing in my OHQP software that defaults to a file name of SQSO.txt or writes the data you describe.  Additionally, there is nothing in my software to determine the location of the Fldigi files folder.

Enjoy!

I did post this in the winfldigi froup with no response.

I did some testing and found there was a  "SQSO.txt" file in fldigi.files>data that looked like this:

State/Province, ST/PR, County/City/Disrict, CCD
NIL,--,none,none

I'm assuming this file was put there when I loaded the Ohio QSO Party Contact Log.

I deleted this file and reinstalled the Ohio QSO Party Contest Log.  A much larger "SQSO.txt" file was installed.  This solved my problem and now the interface between Fldigi and N3FJP Ohio QSO Party Contest Log works correctly.

Interesting. Are you using Ver 4.2 or perhaps an older version?

I did upgrade to ver 4.2. In that ver if you enter MD in the "SPC" field and press Enter it gives an error message saying "MD" is not valid.

I do not currently have an earlier ver installed so can't confirm if last year's or earlier versions had the problem and he had fixed it in Ver 4.2 for this year. What ver is showing that behavior for you?

No. You probably missed it due to timing, but that question was asked and answereda bit earlier. DId not work MD/MDC. I have manually checked things enough that I trust the score I am using so I have pretty much given up on this issue.

Thanks for the thought.

Good thought but that's not it either. Firstly, I did not work MD/MDC. Secondly the software does not allow entry of just "MD". If you try, it throws an error message.

I really think this is the gremlins again. I seem to have a whole colony of them after me! Don't ask about all the weird things that seem to happen to me  :-)    (It would make a --loooong-- short story!!!)

Re: WW DIGITAL CONTEST

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your e-mail.  With all the other commitments I already have on my plate, the World Wide Digi Contest sponsors didn't announce their contest with sufficient lead time for me to support their 2019 event.  It is very unlikely I will have the opportunity to create a program in time for this year, but Lord willing, I do plan to support it next year.

I'd like to operate X contest. The exchange is X. Which program should I use?
