Thanks Scott, I had a feeling it was something simple to fix.

Hi Wilbur,

Thanks for your e-mail.  I'm sorry that you have run into trouble.  AC Log is designed to save your settings when you close the software normally.  If that is not happening, make sure your Internet protection software isn't prohibiting AC Log from saving to your settings file folder.

Enjoy!

How do you get it to keep the sizes when you close and reopen the program I have to make the adjustments each time it is opened?

Aha! I forgot that my radio was still connected while I was entering random call signs in the log for testing. I had changed the band on the radio and, when I went back to testing the software, I was entering calls on a different band. Of course there was no dupe. Problem solved. Thanks again, Scott. Sure appreciate your patience,

Hi K1XS,

Thanks for your e-mail.  Click Settings > RST Defaults.  Deselect the option to leap over the RST field (if you wish) and make sure you have the desired 59 value set as the default.

Enjoy!

I have version 4.7 installed. The program will not let me enter any signal reports. The cursor will not go in the box, tried using the mouse and keyboard. Yes I know they are all 59 in a contest but without entering them the program will not log the contact.

I first had an older version of the program running and it worked.  The problem started after shutting it down and restarting later. I was also asked for the registration number, program had been previously registered.

Uninstalled the program and installed current version, same problem.

Hi Troy,

Thanks for your e-mail.  Click Settings > Appearance > Form Size and enter a smaller value to reduce the relative font sizes.  That said, my software is not designed to scale real small.

Enjoy!

Here is how I usually would like to have it positioned.  One of the advantages of a 4K monitor is having 4 monitors worth of stuff on one screen!

Hi Dale,

Thanks for your e-mail.  My software will not allow duplicates with the Allow Duplicate option unchecked in Settings.  Remember, you can work the same station on different bands and modes.

If you still think something is wrong, please give me an example of a specific call sign, band and mode, that you are able to enter twice.

Enjoy!

I just saw there is an updated file for the MO QSO Party, so I downloaded and installed version 1.8. I'm having the same problem. It only alerts certain dupes, not all.

Scott, attached/below is a screenshot of using a 4K monitor ... you can see some of the font sizes, particularly in the headings on some of the contest software, look "odd" when I size the windows to use the software.  Any way to have some global font size setting(s) to adjust some of this?

I'm doing practice runs with MO QSP Party Contest LOG 1.7 in preparation for the contest next weekend. I've discovered that when I deliberately type in a dupe, not all the dupes come up in the "Possible Duplicate" box and the log allows me to enter the dupe. The "Any Portion" box is checked. Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a big jump in contestants for WPX, but we shall see.

Filter changes on spot click

Jaye Sauer

Hello,

I am running the CQ WPX contest version.  I have a narrow default filter set on my 7300.  When I click on a spot from the spotter it goes to that freq. but resets my filter width to mid.
Is there someway to prevent this from happening?

Thanks,

Jaye W9CY

I am a new person to contesting, but here is something that might sound silly but it has worked for me. most serious contest stations seem to operate at .500 khz or .000 khz. so when I come upon a signal I tune to those positions first. that might just put in ducks in a row.
