I am, and am not now! That explains why I was unable to locate a file for the log... Sounds good, I now understand. I manage a small net here, and am going to point all the NCS stations at the software, and wanted to understand it first! THANKS! Hi Dave,
Thanks for your follow up and clarification. If I understand what you are asking, you are coming from a presumption that a separate log file is created for the net function in AC Log, but that is not the case.
Enjoy! 73, Scott

Thanks for the speedy answer, but I have already looked there... I don't know the file name, (it just saves and does not give me the option of a naming), so I have no idea what to look for in the several directories pointed at by that page... Hi Dale,
Thanks for your e-mail. I'm sorry that you've run into trouble. I just tried downloading the AC Log Call Data here. The server is up and working fine.
Make sure Your Internet protection software isn't clamping down on the download.
Enjoy!

Thanks Lou,
I unchecked all but one just now and found that only the ACLog Calldata populates the Grid field, and not 100% of the time. For example, NN0O, WA6UZD, WA6SRR and even W1AW (gasp) do not populate the Grid field. Any further suggestions?
(I do not subscribe to the QRZ or other paid services at this time.)

Dennis -
I believe you should only have one of those checked. If You are a paid member of QRZ, that is the best one to use. But, only one. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Stephen,

You are correct, contacts between class D stations do not count for score. I have suggested that class D stations call "CQC Field Day" instead of "CQ Field Day". The extra C stands for commercial power. If you are operating class D and hear a station calling CQC you just ignore them because the contact will be worth zero points. Ken WB2KWC

I was in the FD contest log and noticed that if you will be a 1D station for FD and enter another Delta station you get a message that says “Delta stations do not earn QSO points for working other D stations” Since many stations will be operating D this year, will it not matter. I also have heard that scoring will not take place. That’s a rumor only?

Hi John,
Thanks for your e-mail. You should use the dedicated Grid Square field, not one of the Other fields, for logging grid squares. This field will populate automatically from QRZ lookups, JTAlert, etc. Details on displaying the grid square field on the main form are here:
Enjoy!

There is now way in the cw interface to set up speed or stopbit or parity. so if you don't want to use rig control you have no way of setting those items to set them and then .

Scott When using your software with a usb cable to the elecraft k3 with the k3iob interface the speed parity stopbits must be set. if you have a source better than me could you follow up with them. if rig control is not used first to set those parameters ahead of time it will not work. Mel

Re: Using CW option

Hi Mel,
Thanks for your e-mail. I can't speak to the K3 specifically, but CW sending and rig interface are two independent functions in my software. Typically, it is not necessary to enable rig interface to send CW. You do have to have the software in CW mode though.

I plan on dong the CW WPX contest.
I will probably only work 40m
I have a K3 with the usb interface
I have all the parameters set correctly settings > transmit > cw > com 3 and dsr.
I will not be using the rig interface because I am staying 40m cw and the exchange does not need to know about freq.
when I test using F9 nothing happens.
I go back to setting > rig interface > elecraft > com3 > 38400
I poll it works
I go back to setting >rig interface > none
then I go back to the cw and it works.
so it seems that there is not speed setting in the cw interface and you have to get rig interface to work first and then turn it off
remember I am only using one cable because I do not need to use rig interface
Am I doing something wrong
