How are you entering your information?
You have to put in the two letters of your state, and then the 1st 3 letters of your county.  In my log I put WA for Washington state, and sno for Snohomish County
WASNO stands for Washington, Snohomish County

Scott,
I am having some problems with the software, I have checked out FAQ and other options so I need help.
1. I have the  LDG Y100 auto tuner and I can't get the interface cable to work my rig thru the software.
2. On 7QSO contest the software won't allow me to set my county on setup. It keeps saying to put a valid county, ie, UTGAR.
Thanks Lance Jaggar KD7AKE

Hi John,

Thanks for your e-mail.  I'm sorry that you've run into trouble.  Installation on XP and Win 8 (all Windows for that matter) is identical.  Instructions are on the CD, but in short, just start Windows File Manager, navigate to the program on the CD you wish to install and then double click the setup file.

Enjoy!

Scott and all,

I  bought from your full disk a while ago - nearly 2 months.

I installed it on my XP machine.  Except for a bunch of operator problems works great.  Still getting used to it.

Try to install it on my Win 8.1 machine.  Load the CD which reads it but it never asks me to install it.  Nothing happens.

Went to the controls setting and set it to ask me each time is installed - nothing happens.

Turned on AUTOPLAY too but nothing happens.

Any ideas.  I am not a guru on this stuff by any means.

Scott,

Thanks for the reply. The Navigator is an interface that includes multiple devices including a true WinKeyer.

I did some testing it is working without manually connecting, but what was confusing me is that the speed pot indication doesn’t show up on the screen unless I first use a F key to send a macro. I was turning the speed pot to see the CW speed and it wasn’t showing up until after I had sent a macro.

Hi Mitch,

Thanks for your e-mail.  The rig interface in all of my software is identical.  Start any of the programs that you have working properly.  Then click Save Settings at the bottom of the rig list on the rig interface form, while it is polling your rig.

Start the 7QP software, click Load Settings and select the file you saved from the properly configured program.

Are you in one of those seven states ? if so then the country is the two character state then the county. like Maricopa county in Arizona is AZMCP

if you are out of state you should be using the out of state logging program
