It sounds like my software is communicating with your Winkeyer fine, since you are hearing a side tone. On the Winkeyer setup form, try the opposite Key On port from the one you have

Well good for you. I have done the same. I’ve even won CQWW and ARRL CW contests with N3FJP logging equipment and the WinKeyer. But the aggravation you have to go through is ridiculous.

I hate Rig Interface and Winkey with a purple passion. If they work they are great otherwise be prepared to spend lot’s of unsuccessful testing.
