Thanks for your e-mail. From the menu option click List > Set List Default Count and enter a value of 50 or less.
I have 58K records here and AC Log is snappy as ever.

Are there any guidelines for how ACLog performs as the number of log entries increases? I have almost 4000 contacts in my log and there is a significant pause when I press ENTER on a new log record.

Select this option, so your mode does not change when you click on a DX spot (my 7610 is in SSB to send RTTY, but the mode in the software properly remains DIG).

It's a similar setup with the popular Yaesu FT-891 transceiver. The 5 CW memories can be loaded via CAT command "KM", and then keyed using the "KY" command which is assigned to an F key in
