Re: disabled ham needs help
I concur on the Mortty solution.
A Black Belt contester turned me on to Mortty which was easy to build, just follow the instructions with a dollop of patience.
Cheers,

Re: WFD adif file - frequencies
You can use ADIF Master to bulk delete the frequency field for the whole log. Exact frequency is not required for logging or QSO matching for awards, just the band.

Re: Mode issue
Scott thanks very much for the reply it turns out the read mode string was incorrect. I had 03 in the string and I changed it to 04 and all was good with reading the mode. I am not sure why or how

Re: disabled ham needs help
The way I read the post was that his hands were too shaky to use a paddle, or a straight key.. That's the main reason I suggested using keyboard generated CW. Plus, one eventually runs out of memory

Re: disabled ham needs help
Two comments on Mortty vs. Winkeyer:
1) WKmini (the Winkeyer functional equivalent of Mortty) is only $59 - NOT $129
2) WKmini is galvanically isolated - Mortty is NOT
Mortty is a nice offering -

Re: disabled ham needs help
I'm going to toss in a suggestion before the topic is closed completely. Take a look at Mortty: https://hamprojects.info/mortty/
This is a kit, but one of the easiest kits I've built. N3FJP,

Re: WFD adif file - frequencies
we also had weird frequencies. Turns out it was our rig control set wrong. ("Yaesu New" vs "Yaesu New2"). Rig control WAS working but the frequency was interpreted wrong so 7.070 mhz became 70.700,

Re: WFD adif file - frequencies
I thought about that but the frequencies are not the same so it’s not an easy search and replace ir even delete. But thanks for the suggestion.

Hi Megin,
Thanks for your e-mail. In addition to Jim's good suggestion (thanks Jim), you can edit the QSO record in the WFD software to correct the frequency and then export the ADIF file

Re: WFD adif file - frequencies
I would open the ADIF file in a text editor or ADIF Master and remove the frequency or edit it to show a sane number.
