dual usage of ac log

ray.dean@...

I am running version 6.4. Love the software. Here is my situation. I use ac log for ft8 with WSJT alert and it works fantastic but I want to use the logging service for every day logging including 10x work. There is something I need to change to run as a stand alone logging program with my Icom 728 for it to read the frequency and sideband operations but not able to find it..  Any help would be appreciated as I love the program and want more than one function.

JTalert and AClog

Dear

I installed a new pc with AClog and JTDX in combination with JTALERT but now have a problem that AClog no longer automaticlly logs the QSO's.
My previous (broken pc) did it automaticlly.
I notice that i configure JTALERT as before, it doesn't connect to aclog even if I set it manualy.
Any idea how to fix this?

Sorry Scott,  my mind got ahead of my fingers.  My last post should have said "I cannot save my current configuration to then create a new configuration.  I do not want to lose my current configuration before testing the config creation process.

Hi Scott,  I may have found a minor bug.  I am running my log at a form size of 63 and that fits nicely on my large monitor with some other programs that are sized appropriately.

When I click on the settings - edit field display, position, and tab order I get the pop-up that tells me that I must resize back to 100% before changes may be made.  But the primary menu, with the new sub-menu of 'load configuration' does not drop out and it is hard to get a hold of the 'resize' message window behind it.

I too am only seeing a 'load configuration' option in the sub-menu and so I cannot change my current configuration to then create a new configuration.  When this new option is finalized will it also save the current form size?  if so that would be awesome.  Will we have to return our form size to 100% in the future?

POTA awards are strictly within the POTA program. There is no involvement or checking eQSL, LoTW, QRZ or anyplace else. POTA activators submit their logs to their POTA Area Coordinator and they are uploaded to the POTA database. ALL Awards are based on the POTA database and nothing else.

If you are expecting an award and you are not seeing it in your POTA stats, please contact your coordinator if you are an activator. If you are a hunter, check with help@parksontheair.com.

Agreed.  My LoTW QSL rate on POTA activations is easily 50%-60% plus

Dave.  I use Avery 8160 labels.  Not sure how close that is to 8161’s but here are the values I have on the “PRINT QSL STRIP” page.

10

3

.52

.2

1

2.75

Hope this helps.

Dave, I have used and continue to use Avery 5160 labels with an HP ink jet printer.  They work great with Scott’s software and don’t even have to fudge with the labels dimension.  You won’t go wrong. I don’t know about Avery 8161 labels but if you have to experiment to label the label dimensions right, 5160 is your answer.

Did you "Transfer" it to that computer or did you "download" it to that computer from the N3FJP Website?

Hi Gregg,

Thanks for your e-mail.  From the menu options, click File > Open, navigate to where you placed your log file after you transferred it over and then select it.

Enjoy!

Gregg,

Have you tried using file explorer and gone to the location listed in both error messages?

Does that file exist?

Hi Dave,

ACLog uses whatever is your default printer settings, if I remember correctly.  You need to set up a printer configuration in your OS (I assume Windows) that works for you (based on the Avery website info), and then switch to that configuration when you print, I assume, QSL labels.

Re: Help with connecting WSJT to AClog

Larry Banks

Hi Carl,

The WSJT-X manual tells you how to connect WSJT-X to JTAlert. Then the JTAlert help screens tell you how to connect JTAlert to ACLog. You really need to use these instructions to make this happen.

I just moved from MacOS to Windows 10. I want to have WSJT automatically move contacts to AClog. Directions say to use JTAlert between the two. I have tried that with no luck. I’m sure I have not set something correctly. Help please!

Under contest files, Can you have 2 qso parties open at the same time, keep one shrinked when not logging for that state?  Tomorrow ID and OK qso parties are on and I would like to work both parties.  I would think you could but have never tried it.  This is on one computer.
Thanks far any input
